UPDATED 7:06 p.m. ET: According to NFL.com, Campbell will miss the rest of the season with his dislocated shoulder.

----------

Raiders quarterback Jason Campbell has been knocked out of the Oakland-Cleveland game with about 4 minutes left in the second quarter, and according to the San Francisco Chronicle, he's dislocated his shoulder.  After gaining seven yards on a run, Cleveland’s Scott Fujita tackled him, and Campbell stayed on the turf until Oakland trainers could reach him.

As he slowly walked off the field, Campbell -- who was 6 of 9 for 52 yards and had helped the Raiders to a 14-7 lead against the Browns -- Campbell, in obvious pain, held his arm close to abdomen. Kyle Boller is in to replace Campbell, and on his first play in the game, a fourth and 1 from the Raiders 34, the team went for it and Boller gained the first down on a sneak.

If Boller were to go down, Terrelle Pryor -- who is not on the active roster -- would not play. Instead, the Raiders emergency third quarterback is punter Shane Lechler.

Report: Campbell's dislocated shoulder ends year

Palmer has to deal with Mike Brown. It is totally unfair how he treats his players. He calls them out for not living up to their contract but he is hypocritical as he terminates his players contracts, not living up to his agreement. Brown traded Ochocinco but won't trade Palmer? It is just spite and hatred between the two. For the record, I think Delhomme would fit better than Palmer though.

What about Carson Palmer. Much better than Garrard or Delhomme

Raiders will pick up Jake Delhomme. He has a great fiery attitude and is a great mentor. Garrard gave up on his team and though more physically gifter than Jake, he would hinder the team more than help it. Delhomme can rally the team and be a great game-manager byt just handing off and feeding off of PA.

If the Raiders are truly trying to make the playoffs they have to make a call to Garrard.  He isn't great but can be a pretty good game manager just like Campbell.  Boller stinks and Pryor isn't ready this year.

Garrard would fit nicely.  He's very apt to pull the ball down and run, and with the type of coverages teams have to run because of our wideouts, that would be very effective.

@tlo:  You are right, Tim Tebow was good in college : as a starter he won 1 SEC title, 1 National Title, 1 Heisman .  That is an impressive resume.

@Menoftroy--Yeah buddy keep talking about Teblow he is trash the Broncos will will 2 games with him as a starter. Tim Teblow is the most overrated player in College history, as a starter he won 1 SEC title, 1 National Title, 1 Heisman but to hear you Tebow fans talk he took a sorry ass team from nowhere and won 4 National titles and 4 Heisman's.  I can't wait to see him fail as he did last year and hear all you classless Broncos fan cry and I don't even care about the AFC west.  TIM TEBLOW SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can't sign a QB off the street like Garrard or bring in some other team's back-up via trade. NFL just doesn't work that way. Better off crossing fingers with Boller and developing Pryor.

They are done!!!!!!

Campbell is a decent QB, and now they don't have the continuity.  Got to work a new guy into the fray.  I truly hate Raider Nation, so I willl let you know, Tebow is getting is shot now.  Here come the Broncos.  I am confused, however, why we are cutting loose Lloyd, and maybe Royal.  Maybe Elway and Company are set on tanking this season, and trading these guys now to some teams who have playoff aspirations.

I hope Denver isn't trying to let it all go this year.
