Since I’ve assumed all of you have finished your lunch today -- apologies to those in the Pacific Time Zone -- let’s go back to the videotape (thanks to the magic of Sorting the Sunday Pile) to see what transpired Sunday between Vikings defensive end Brian Robison and Packers offensive lineman T.J. Lang.

In effect, let’s watch Robison kick Lang in the nuts again.

OK, now that we’ve done that, here’s the aftermath of that kick to the groin, which weirdly did not draw a penalty (though likely will draw a fine).

Lang awesomely tweeted Sunday night, “Glad to report my genitalia are in stable condition and expected to make a full recovery!” And on Monday, Robison apologized on Twitter: “My apologies to @tjlang70 , my team, my fans and the @nfl . I am not a dirty player and did not maliciously aim for the groin, just happened to be where it landed.”

Responded Lang: “All joking aside, I think @Brian_Robison is a heck of a player.. Just caught up in the emotion of the game.. apology accepted.”

Wonderful. But now I have a question: which is worse: Robison’s foot to the groin or LeSean McCoy’s punch to the stomach?

Dtrain, spoken like a true homer, whining about the refs again. Doesn't matter what Lang might have done, Robison was the stupid one in this case and got what he deserved. Packer fans could also whine about the late hit assessed on Matthews that was bogus, but just part of the game.

Next time, try playing some defense, it really helps.

It could have been worse. It couldf have been a cell phone call to Lang's wife/mother/girlfriend and cost Robison $10K!!

Nobody saw what happened that caused Robison to retaliate. Lang had his leg up in the air and flung him to the ground when the play was over. Yes- Robison was wrong in retaliating but the Packers were getting away with holding all day long and the frustration was just building.

Um, it did actually draw a 15-yard penalty, but it was assessed on the ensuing kickoff by the Packers, which means they kicked it out of the end zone and the Vikings started out at the 20, much like most kickoffs this year, so in effect, it was no penalty. This should be treated the same as a punch, the guy should have been ejected IMO. At the very least, this kind of penalty should be automatically assessed on the Vikings starting field position, so if they got it to the 20, it should be moved back to the 10, or maybe just make it automatically 1st and 25 wherever their field position starts from. You have to make teams pay for this kind of behavior if you want to stop it.

Will be interesting to see what kind of fine this draws, probably around $20K is my guess. And that's another thing the NFL could fix - make it a standard of some percentage of a guy's salary so the big money guys even have to pay more than a guy making $500K a year. Someone making $5 million a year doesn't blink at $20K, but $100K might help get the point across.

ONE WAY TO SETTLE ALL ARGUMENTS, WHEN ANY, REPEAT, ANY PLAYER GETS CAUGHT IN A SERIOUS INFRATION, NO APOLOGIES, NO THROWN OUTTA GAMES, ETC, JUST AN AUTOMATIC 2 GAME SUSPENSION, WHEN HURT IN POCKETBOOK, PLAYERS THEN FEEL SOME PAIN, APOLOGIES..........................

WHAT A LAUGH

Gmanpack, Im not saying what he did was right or wrong. Im saying its a bit hypocritical how Packer fans are calling for suspension for someone kicking their player, while their player had punched someone and they didnt say a thing.

My "tough guy" take? You obviously have no idea what you are even talking about Since when does an apology make it okay? I am sorry but acting like he did not mean to do what he did is what is really stupid. Just because he apologized does not mean people should not be allowed to get upset over it. He MUST be suspended and fined for what he did.

Roemey, All the guy did, was call for the dipsh@# to be punished.  You're either 12 or a complete moron.   I'd bet my house on the latter.
