Report: Randy Moss getting calls, is 'listening'

We've spent some of the last 24 hours discussing the possibility of a certain attention-grabbing, sometimes discontented wide receiver who's probably too old to play in the NFL. And that was probably more than enough time spent on Terrell Owens until some team signs him.

But what about the other one, Randy Moss?

I say this because Moss is apparently generating some interest from teams around the NFL, according to Jason LaCanfora of the NFL Network.

"He's listening. He's got one ear to the phone," said LaCanfora.

LaCanfora reports that a team calls Moss every 10 days to two weeks to gauge his interest but it will take a certain situation to make it happen -- "if the right team called at the right time with the right quarterback at the right price" LaCanfora says Moss might be interested.

The biggest thing that Moss cares about, obviously, is winning. Which means only a few teams will qualify for bringing him in this season.

And it's entirely possible that Moss will wait until there's a clearer sense of what teams are going to be serious contenders for a championship.

Randy has to somehow prove  to BB that he is willing to put TEAM above ME. If Randy can't do this it is a mute point to discuss his return to NE... I personally would love to see Randy back with NE. My personal thoughts are Randy is a better fit on the field in a game then T.O. or OCHO....

Terrell Owens and Randy Moss are the two most gifted waste of life on planet earth. They prove one glaring point: you sure don't need a brain to play football.

If Julio Jones remains out because of the hammy .. I wouldn't be surprised to see him opposite Roddy White.

I think I would have to Agree Mike!  I think he could be helping them allot more then Ocho, can't reado!  He would compliment Welker and Deon, perfectly...  It would be even beter then 2007!

Bill Belichick needs to get out of his "stubbor" mode and get in touch with Randy.  I believe Randy has at least one solid season left in him and what better place to be than in New England where he and Brady established records together.  Randy has one goal in mind, to win a super bowl ring and New England is the place where he would be an instant fit.

Moss was happy in NE. Even when his numbers where down. His whole career, which the exception of his rookie year, Moss was more valuable as a diversion as an actual reciever. Welkers numbers crashed after Moss left, at least until some serious adjustments where made.
Yes, he has always been frustrated by his role. No other reciever had to raise his arm to signal the QB that he was as good as open or would be by the time the ball got there. The only QB who could take advantage of that ability was Bradey.
Favre was a possible, but injury and no O-line killed that.
I have followed Moss' career since Marshall. He deserves a crack at a superbowl ring.
I don't think big money is a factor now. An opportunity to win it all trumps money as it has for many players over the decades. I hope someone takes advantage of that talent....

They might as well bring him back and end the failed "Ochocino Experiment"

The Pats won't take Moss back. I would consider it if I were them, though. As long as he's willing to NOT be the focal point of their offense, he brings things to the table - STILL - that only a handful of top WRs bring. He led the AFC in TD receptions only two years ago.

The Pats offense seems nearly unstoppable, but if Moss took the top off the defense, what then? They'd actually be unstoppable.
