Packers defensive lineman Johnny Jolly -- currently suspended indefinitely by the NFL -- received a six-year prison sentence for violation of his probation on Thursday.

Jolly was charged with possession of codeine in October (in addition to tampering with evidence) -- the third drug arrest for Jolly in three years. His most recent arrest violated the parole that spared Jolly jail time stemming from a charge in April.

The defensive lineman has been featured in numerous media interviews leading up to his verdict, in which he essentially filed an emotional public plea for another chance.

However Jolly, drafted in the sixth round of the 2006 NFL Draft by the Packers, has apparently run out of chances, at least for now. This is his final season under contract with the Packers and given his recent run of arrests, he may find it difficult to secure an early release from prison.

Jolly started 48 games for the Packers, including all 16 in 2008 and 2009, and recorded 77 tackles, two sacks, one interception and 17 pass deflections. He is eligible for parole after 14 months of his current sentence.

secrethistory and Crosby=TheBest....LMAO....well, I guess that fucking retarded name should have given a huge clue as to the intelligence level in a post from you, but anyway.....damn right police departments make money off the drug war.  And they should.  I could care less if any piece of shit that lit up, snorted a line, popped a pill or shot up, or had in any way dealt with any of that fucking stupid shit, keeled over dead right now on the spot.  Fuck them all, kill them all, let God sort them out.  But that is what you get for letting idiotic moronic worthless piece of shit Democrats get a little power.

I hope the guy gets out, i'm sick of paying my tax dollars to support an immoral, counterproductive war on drugs.  Alcohol and tobacco kill hundreds of thousands of people every year and yet nobody goes to prison for drinking a beer.  Get this thru your head,  DRUG CARTELS EXIST BECAUSE DRUGS ARE ILLEGAL.  The cartels love dumb as crap conservatives like you because you make them billions of dollars.  ITS IRONIC THAT THE PROPONENTS OF DRUG PROHIBITION AND THE DRUG CARTELS HAVE THE SAME INTEREST -- KEEP THE DRUG WAR GOING.
Amen to that. Don't forget that police departments and private jails make money on the drug war, too.

Its not your problem if this individual chooses to use narcotics.  Why do care if he damages his body?  Do you propose we incarcerate fat people?  You are a sicko for advocating prison rape.  Just stay out of this person's life.

It costs at least 30k a year to house a prisoner.  So that's the cost of your nosiness and desire to control people.

The war on drugs is the epitome of Big Govt.  Its the biggest waste of tax money.  Come on man, you're smart enough to figure this out.
