Packers defensive lineman Johnny Jolly -- currently suspended indefinitely by the NFL -- received a six-year prison sentence for violation of his probation on Thursday.

Jolly was charged with possession of codeine in October (in addition to tampering with evidence) -- the third drug arrest for Jolly in three years. His most recent arrest violated the parole that spared Jolly jail time stemming from a charge in April.

The defensive lineman has been featured in numerous media interviews leading up to his verdict, in which he essentially filed an emotional public plea for another chance.

However Jolly, drafted in the sixth round of the 2006 NFL Draft by the Packers, has apparently run out of chances, at least for now. This is his final season under contract with the Packers and given his recent run of arrests, he may find it difficult to secure an early release from prison.

Jolly started 48 games for the Packers, including all 16 in 2008 and 2009, and recorded 77 tackles, two sacks, one interception and 17 pass deflections. He is eligible for parole after 14 months of his current sentence.

Stallworth's incident was not a hit and run and he did not leave the scene?  He actually received a lesser sentence for his cooperation with the police and taking full responsibility for his actions.  I could care less about this John Jolly issue but this comment caught my eye and I hate seeing inaccurate information posted.  Please check your facts in the future.  Thanks

I'll take my chances with the skinny, coke snorting bitch. This guy was more of a dealer than an addict.
If he lived in Cali...he'd be gone for LIFE.

Big Bear fan, that makes sense now.  Just like the Bears are gonna win the super bowl because they beat a 3-6 terrible Eagle team and the Lions at home, who forgot to show up, just like the Falcons forgot as well.   they play teams that have their worst games, which has nothing to do with the big bad Bears senior citizen defense as the Pack proved when they bitch slapped em in Chicago.  Oh, and like last year, was the worst game of the season, this year they still won, and last year, it took the Bears 59 minutes to beat a team that had  22 penalties in that game.  Then they bichhslapped them in the playoffs as well, oh yeah, on the road again.  You and AM1000 are the biggest dumash fans in sports.  lmao
