Rex Ryan and B. Jacobs had a confrontation after the game today (US Presswire).

By Josh Katzowitz

As we all know, Rex Ryan loves to talk trash. Sometimes, it works for the Jets. Sometimes, it doesn’t. Today, during his squad’s 29-14 loss to the Giants, it didn’t work at all. And Giants running back Brandon Jacobs was happy to tell Ryan exactly what he thought about him afterward.

B. Jacobs and Rex Ryan yelling at each other (US Presswire). After the game was complete, Ryan and Jacobs had a verbal altercation in which cursing from both sides was exchanged and an insulting “fat boy” was thrown around by Jacobs.

According to Jacobs, via Newsday, he did nothing to provoke Ryan, but Jacobs certainly felt the need to defend himself once the two met during postgame handshakes.

"I didn't say too much to him," Jacobs said. "He told me to shut the f--- up and wait until we win the Super Bowl, and I said I would punch him in his face . . . I told him, 'Out of all of these Giants football players on the team, you're talking to the wrong one.'"

Then, apparently, Ryan told Jacobs to go “f--- himself.” Later Jacobs said that Ryan had a “big, fat mouth.”

Aside from the acrimony about the Jets’ trash-talking (though Giants receiver Victor Cruz did some of his own this week), was the report that the Jets, who were the home team, placed black curtains over the Super Bowl championship logos that were painted on the walls of the New Meadowlands. Those curtains are there for all Jets home games, but the Giants thought that the move was disrespectful. Ryan was asked afterward about his confrontation with Jacobs.

"We had a private conversation," he said. "That's all I'll leave it as. Whatever. He doesn't like me. I respect him, but I could care less about him."

Mr. Jacobs, we’ll give you the last word.

"You need to shut up," Jacobs said. "That's that. He's a great coach, comes from a great coaching family, but he needs to shut up."

Against the Ravens we had no OLINE.They should have beating the Bronco's.They came up one win short of making the PLAYOFFS.Not anything to be ashamed of.And when you make the Playoffs 2 years in a row,you don't get to get players like MEGATRON AND SUH

What's your point moron?  Why are you so obsessed with the system sports leagues have in place?  Every sports league does the same thing, they draft starting with the worst team and go from there.   There is no guarantee at all a team does well just because they finish near the bottom, not even if they do that 5 years in a row.   Sanchez would never get the ball to Megatron like Stafford can and you know it.  As for Suh, you envy the Lions for drafting Suh when you've called him overrated and nothing more then an average defensive lineman???  I can search for a post where you listed 25 or 30 dlinemen you said were better then Suh, so using your retarded logic you should have no trouble finding somebody just as good later in the first round.

Moron.

Not a Jets fan by any means, and surely not a Ryan fan, especially his worthless twin brother in Dallas.  But Jacobs???? That SOB is troublemaker.  I cannot wait to see him writhering in pain with torn MCL or ACL, I will record it and watch it everytime I need a laugh. ------------------------------ Wow. What a nice person. I can't wait for you to realize what a complete loser you are and take a big bottle full of pills and stop wasting oxygen.

Somehow you mistook that I care what you think.  But the thought of me taking a bottle of pills because of what I think of that waste (your term) of flesh Jacobs is,,,, well thats just humerous.  Tear it good Jacobs, rip it out.

Free Agency is the option Brian8Ball. Not sure who the UFA's are. Regardless, Sanchez will be a backup when the Jets divorce him. He's just not that good. He has some toys on offense with Holmes and Burress but his inability to read defenses renders them useless. I still wish Braylon Edwards and Cotchery stuck around too BTW. Cotchery was not appreciated enough. Holmes has to be seething. Goes from Big Ben to Sanchez.

Brian8Ball, Sanchez's indecision and holding onto the ball is making the OL AND Schottsy look bad. Schottsy has scaled back the playcalls because Sanchez is a one read QB and has no vision of the field. Schottsy has his faults but Sanchez has way more. I put the offensive failures on Sanchez. The OC can have all the creativity in the world. HOWEVER, when you have a limited QB, it's useless. Would Coryell of been great without Fouts ? Would Bellichick have 3 rings without Brady ? It's the QB's job to execute.

I troll you ????? You troll on a zillion other teams threads Brian ! Reading all the posts on those threads over the last month of time without responding is not trolling you. Think what you want. You always try to twist things around to make it look like everyone is persecuting you. But almost everyone who has read or responded to any of your posts knows better. That includes the CBS administrator.

My original long post was designed to try and help you, To let you know how most others see you. But I see it was a waste of time on my part. And please don't say you didn't ask for my help. I already know that. You enjoy insulting people and want to go on doing that.

Brian8Ball, I respect your passion for the Jets and am trying to get you away from flame wars with other posters. The facts are this. I set high standards and plenty of teams have found gems in later rounds. To say the Jets are unable to build through the draft by having later picks is ridiculous. Ask Tom Brady and Terrell Davis in recent years. The Jets have had lackluster drafts since awesome 2006 and 2007 drafts. They have relied on Free Agency since and the cap hits are coming, Bart Scott in particular. The Jets depth is getting thinner and it's because they have not had solid drafts since Revis.
