Rex Ryan and B. Jacobs had a confrontation after the game today (US Presswire).

By Josh Katzowitz

As we all know, Rex Ryan loves to talk trash. Sometimes, it works for the Jets. Sometimes, it doesn’t. Today, during his squad’s 29-14 loss to the Giants, it didn’t work at all. And Giants running back Brandon Jacobs was happy to tell Ryan exactly what he thought about him afterward.

B. Jacobs and Rex Ryan yelling at each other (US Presswire). After the game was complete, Ryan and Jacobs had a verbal altercation in which cursing from both sides was exchanged and an insulting “fat boy” was thrown around by Jacobs.

According to Jacobs, via Newsday, he did nothing to provoke Ryan, but Jacobs certainly felt the need to defend himself once the two met during postgame handshakes.

"I didn't say too much to him," Jacobs said. "He told me to shut the f--- up and wait until we win the Super Bowl, and I said I would punch him in his face . . . I told him, 'Out of all of these Giants football players on the team, you're talking to the wrong one.'"

Then, apparently, Ryan told Jacobs to go “f--- himself.” Later Jacobs said that Ryan had a “big, fat mouth.”

Aside from the acrimony about the Jets’ trash-talking (though Giants receiver Victor Cruz did some of his own this week), was the report that the Jets, who were the home team, placed black curtains over the Super Bowl championship logos that were painted on the walls of the New Meadowlands. Those curtains are there for all Jets home games, but the Giants thought that the move was disrespectful. Ryan was asked afterward about his confrontation with Jacobs.

"We had a private conversation," he said. "That's all I'll leave it as. Whatever. He doesn't like me. I respect him, but I could care less about him."

Mr. Jacobs, we’ll give you the last word.

"You need to shut up," Jacobs said. "That's that. He's a great coach, comes from a great coaching family, but he needs to shut up."

See Brian ?? That's all you can do. Insult after insult 1 I made the comment about Rex as a joke and because he acts arrogant and jerkish. And so do you Brian.

If you don't stop insulting us all, your teacher is going to put "Needs Improvement" on your report card in the box that says "Works

Grow up young man.

Rex BTW already has his old man beat in terms of coaching legacy.Buddy Boy was 0-3 in the playoffs for the Eagles and has as many NFL playoff wins as Jim Mora Sr. ZERO !!! PLAYOFFS ?Thank god Mora coached the Philly Stars.LOL. Those Eagles teams lost at home to very average Rams and Redskins teams which ultimately cost Ryan his job after the Redskins loss.

I will defend Rex as a passionate guy who has injected some needed positives into the Jets. I've been a fan since the Late 70's and the team has NEVER had 3 consecutive playoff appearances. I could give two craps about his appearance. I was a Herm Edwards fan too. I like passion and wearing emotions on one's sleeve. Rex does that. HOWEVER, his stubborn loyalty to Sanchez will make his tenure shorter than I want. I have been questioning "The Sanchise" since the Denver debacle. If Rex will swallow his pride and work with Tannenbaum on getting a solid QB in Free Agency, Rex will be around a long time. Unfortunately, I don't believe Rex will admit Sanchez's limited upside. STUBBORNESS is what will prevent Rex from sticking around by riding Sanchez into 2012 and beyond. Not passion or knowledge.

Brandon Jacobs, Rex Ryan exchange insults

Brian, don't start with me. I have tolerated you and tried to refrain from replying to your posts for quite a while. I've been reading and remaining silent on the Lions' threads, the Pats, the Steelers and others that you insist on trolling. To be honest, I've never met RedWings or any of the others here in person. But I have discussed sports with him and others on here for a few years. While I have disagreed with him on occasion, most of the time he is an intelligent poster. Brian, to be honest, all you do is insult people constantly. Sometimes, when you respond to posters, you then turn around and respond to your own posts. I honestly believed I saw you responding and insulting yourself on a couple of occasions. I really did. I'm beginning to think you my have multiple personalities. and then Brian, when people turn around and insult you back, you run to CBS and report them. You act like an 8-year old kid Brian. I say this not to insult you. But it is what it is.

I  don't believe you when you said RedWings sent you that message. I also watched him, Sklaos and others take you up on your offer o meet them and fight. And each time Brian, you ran. You keep referring to the Jets playoff win in Foxboro last year as if it were a Super Bowl win. Yet, as Wings has said, you talk as if the Yankees 27 WS titles beat the Tigers beating them in the playoffs. Yes they do. But then you use the opposite side of that argument and talk about the Jets ONE playoff win in Foxboro being more important than the Patriots 3 SB wins. You also keep bringing up Spygate. You insult tom Brady, calling him Cindy & Tammy. you insult Matthew Stafford. you insult Phillies fans, Red Sox, Orioles, Tigers, Patriots, Lions, Steelers, Bills, giants and Dolphins fans. and anyone else who disagrees with you or tries to congratulate their team on a win.

You have insulted RedWings, DeadBtmDown, Mai, Sklaos, Chefsalad, Zigzag, tomebrady(to name just a FEW),and at least 100 others on these boards directly, as well as myself. You talk of RedWings being on here every day. Yet you rarely take a day off Brian. And when you are here, you post on several threads for hours at a time. It's hard to believe you have a wife and kids that are willing to spend time wrapping and opening Christmas presents while their patriarch is supposedly online playing poker or posting here incessantly. You might be telling the truth and I know my opinion doesn't matter. but I don't believe it. Any of it. I believe they don't exist.

You say you're through with responding to many people. But you turn right around and respond to them minutes and even days and many posts later. If I had to list all the people you have repeatedly insulted, I would still be typing here at this time tomorrow night. Brian, You are making many enemies. I've never seen a poster act the way you do most of the time. And face it. No one here would be insulting you if you hadn't insulted them first.
