Bears officially end seasons for Cutler, Forte

J. Cutler and M. Forte both went on the IR list (US Presswire).

By Josh Katzowitz

It’s official. The seasons for Bears quarterback Jay Cutler and running back Matt Forte are finished, as the team announced today that both have been placed on the Injured Reserve list.

Now that the Bears have been knocked out of the playoff picture for good, this move was to be expected.

Though Cutler -- who broke his thumb in Week 11, which inevitably allowed Chicago to go from a 7-3 playoff contender to a 7-8 hopeless cause that has nothing to play for in Week 17 -- had said earlier this month there was an “outside chance” he could play vs. the Packers, that was an unrealistic goal.

That game occurred last week, and the only reason backup Caleb Hanie wasn’t on the field playing that day was because he had been so bad in his previous starts that Chicago, instead, started a man who, not long ago, was coaching high school football.

And the crazy thing about it was that Josh McCown, while certainly not on the same level as Cutler, was galaxies ahead of Hanie and performed relatively well on the road in Green Bay.

Meanwhile, Forte, who had made his desires for a contract extension widely known (and for good reason), wasn’t planning to return to the game unless he was 100 percent (also for good reason) after injuring his knee Dec. 3.

"These injuries, they usually take four to six weeks [to heal] they say," Forte said on Dec. 18. "And this will only be week three. I'm not going to rush to get back on the field and play while I'm hurt, because (if) you're not at 100 percent you may injure it even more if you do that."

Left unsaid was this: “Yeah, I’m not going to play, because there’s no way I’m going to put my knee on the line after I've already hurt it for a team that doesn’t pay a deserving player.”

Either way, both can begin looking forward to next season and trying to build another playoff run that won’t get spiked because of significant injuries.

Bears officially end seasons for Cutler, Forte

Taylor and his coffee-maker set to retire

David XXX Duke -

Where to begin with you ???

1st - turn off the caps lock & scale down the font  - all caps doesnt make your posts anymore important or intelligent !

I'm assuming you're black/african-american (I use both terms because if i don't you'll bast me for not using the right one) & yet -
you seem to be an equal opportunity race offender

You are using the name of the 20th century's most famous racist as your screenname - you do know that Duke was the Grand Wizard of the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan ?  & is also a white-seperatist ?

As for your posts - in 3 weeks you've put up 15 posts or so -

In the first 2 you had a "whites are jealous of rich young black men" rant going (hence , my previous assumption)

Since then every post you have put up has 2 components - "_____ is a classless wife beating thug" or I hope _____ suffers an  injury" OR "I hope _____ that classless wife beating thug suffers ______ injury" -

As for the "wife beating thug" references , we could only hope that someone would sue you for libel -
(like Jay Cutler who's single & therefore can't be a "wife beating thug")

libel. 1) n. to publish in print (including pictures), writing or broadcast through radio, television or film, an untruth about another which will do harm to that person ...

As for the injuries - why all the hate ?
Why or how could you possibly want to see or have someone suffer such pain from these injuries ?
Were you abused as a child ?
Did you abuse & torture animals & liked it ?
Should the authorities be investigating you ? Possibly starting by digging up your basement or under a crawlspace ?

We can only hope YOU suffer an injury that leaves you unable to type !
No need for you to break both wrists or hands - Carpal tunnel would suffice ! (as would someone stealing your keyboard)

For everyone else - here's a synopsis of DXD's posts - so you all can know what he's about -

(abbreviations for following list)
WBT - wife beating thug
SEI - season ending injury
BRP - bad representative of "DXD's" people

Mike Conley - WBT , SEI , BRP
Russell Westbrook - WBT , SEI , BRP
Jason Taylor - WBT (2x)
Jay Cutler - WBT & SEI (2x)
Matt Forte - WBT , SEI
Kevin kolb - SEI
Drew Brees - WBT & New Orleans is a fithy city
Jerome Harrison - WBT
Big Ben - SEI , SEI & rapist (2x) & 1 post deleted
Maurkice Pouncey - SEI & Gay slurs

So really - What's with all the hate you spew ?  Is your life so bad that this is how you make yourself feel better ?

DXD - PLEASE DO US THIS FAVOR -
Keep your hate spewing to yourself - no one here needs or cares about your narrow & petty views & opinions

CBS - PLEASE DO US THIS FAVOR - BAN THIS IDIOT !

cutler is a talented qb, but one wonders if he can come backfrom this. he does look a little fragile out there.
This is one of the most unintelligent comments I have ever seen on these boards.

Forte didnt get strung along! If Forte goes somewhere else, take Briggs with! Who cares how good they are. Those are 2 positions that can be replaced. Unless your Jerry Angelo, who cant judge talent worth a shee it!

@broncos-7 - The Bears strung Forte along?  You seem to have forgotten you guys had the same issue with a player by the name of Brandon Marshall.  Broncos fans are sadly delusional.  And I'm so glad you guys found your franchise QB in Tebow.  LOL!  Thanks for Cutler.

Forte sure whines a lot for someone that was offered $14 million guaranteed at the beginning of the year.
