Was Brady favoring his shoulder at practice?

As we told you earlier today, it appears Tom Brady missed Wednesday’s practice for shoulder X-rays, though strangely, he was listed on the practice report as a “non-injury issue.”

Yes, getting shoulder X-rays possibly because Brady's shoulder got “dinged” in last Sunday’s game vs. the Dolphins sounds an awful lot like an injury issue, Patriots spokesman Stacey James said Thursday, "If there was an injury then it would be on the injury report."

Either way, Brady returned to practice Thursday, and on the injury report, he was listed as limited because of a, ahem, shoulder injury.

But you can judge for yourself how much Brady’s shoulder might affect him Sunday vs. the Bills, because the Boston Herald provided  practice video of Brady throwing for you. And yeah, it does appear (at least, to my amateur eyes) that Brady is favoring his left shoulder as he makes throws. Which probably isn't what the Patriots want as they prepare to head into the postseason.

I agree with others on this, you do have amateur eyes.  It's a normal throwing motion.  you never let your non throwing arm flail about, you keep it tucked in.  Look at any one of a hundred vids out there it's his normal throw.  Unless he is throwing a deep ball, nothing to see here.  Stop trying to create a story when there isn't one.  If you really want to get a story going lets talk about how bad the Patriots D stinks and the loss of Carter and what is happening with Matt Light and how they are going to protect Brady and stop the pass rush and blitzes that will be coming from his back side.

Was Brady favoring his shoulder at practice?

Remember a few years ago when the Patriots put Brady in a walking boot for the playffs? The way he played during those games suggested he wasnt in that bad of shape. So in reality Belichick may be pulling one over on the media and playing mind games with fans who are hoping that Brady has a severe injury and that itll be easier to knock him out of the game.

Take a look at some Brady highlights and he throws that same way on about 95% of his throws!!!

It definitely looks like he's trying to keep the left arm tucked against his body to limit the movement of his shoulder. We'll know whether he's really hurt when we see him play on Sunday. I do have 1 question: Why couldn't it have been his throwing shoulder?!

I think that's just how he throws, tucking in the non-throwing shoulder to generate more power.
