By Ryan Wilson

The 2011 season isn't yet over but with the regular season now in the books, the 2012 NFL opponents are now set (the official schedule will be released in the spring).

Every year, teams play six games in their division (facing each of the other three teams twice), eight games against eight teams from two other divisions, and two games determined on division record.

With the final regular-season standings settled, we now know who'll face whom.

For example, by virtue of winning the AFC West, the Broncos have the pleasure of facing the Patriots and Texans in 2012. And the Chiefs, last-place finishers in the West, get the Bills and Colts.

And the NFC South champion Saints get the 49ers and the Packers (again in Lambeau).

Opponents set for 2012 NFL season

yeah yeah,  but when the chips are down, in the big dance.  The NFC east owns the AFC east in the superbowl.  9-2.  The E-Gals lost to the pats and the Skins lost to the 72 dolphins (a loss they avenged the very next year).  You can put that welker drop right next to the norwood miss.  Could really careless about regular season accolades when its been proven the AFC east has NO NUTS.

Lol really? The NFC East was terrible last year, the only team the pats lost to was the Giants in a close game. Pats seem to always bring the best out of the Giants. The Giants lost something like 7 in a row and to terrible teams and made the playoffs, agreed the pats schedule is fairly easy for 2012 but no more so than the Giants.

Hey toyota/sux and so do you.  the story said greenbay gets to redeem them selfs.  IMPOSSIBLE because last season is over and there is no redemption dip sh i t.  The what ifs do come into factor.  What if greenbay would of practice the two full weeks they had instead of just the one week.  what if cutler didnt break his thumb.  What if you had a brain?

The Giants will be better than they were in Regular season  last year.. i think Phili will be too.... THose two teams are going to be a Handfull in the NFC.. and come out of the East. I have no fear of Dallas, because of who their QB is and who their GM is. Jerry Jones Has already stated that he believe, just like at beginning of last season, the Cowboys are where they need to be talentwise and coaching wise to make a sustained run at the superbowl... THAT GUY IS DILLUSIONAL!  Anyways, The Giants, Eagles (they needed a year), Packers, Saints, Niners, Are the best teams in the NFC, CLEARLY! Detroit im not convinced about, The Bears have a chance with a Cutler back healthy. I think Giants win 11 games, as do Eagles, and The Decision is decided by sum other means like common opponent or division record, whatever.  GB win 12, Niners win 12, Saints win 11.

THe headline was greenbay gets to redeem themselves.  How the hell do they do that, last year is over and the NEW YORK GIANTS beat the living crap out of them in lambeau field.  There is no redemption for the big headed green bay packers 2011-12 season is gone.  THANK GOD.  Hopefully ever team has figured how to play the big headed team if not rewatch the giants at lambeau destroy the packers.  what a joke of a team.

LMAO...Bearfan!

The joke of a team resides in Chitcago! Your hapless Bears are OLD and the stars have seen the best days! Go ahead and try and trash the team to the north of you...you success is measured on your ability to first beat GB! How's that been working lately?

I see you drafting well ahead of the Packers for years to come!

HaHaHa!!!

How will it feel being last in the division? No Hope?

At least you have the Bulls!

You are being incredibly presumptuous.  At this point in time we don't have any true idea who will be good and who won't be and that includes the Ravens.  There is just way too much yet to happen.  It is certainly not out of the realm of possibility that age catches up to the Ravens.  You just don't know in today's NFL.

The steelers played the afc west in 2009 with home games against the chargers and raiders, road games @denver and @kc. This season should be the exact opposite. 2012 should have home games against the broncos and chiefs, road games @san diego and @oakland.

2012 has home games against the chiefs and chargers, with road games @denver and @oakland. Does anyone know why it changed?

I don't all of the details, but the league made a change to the schedules involving AFC and NFC West home/away games, because they don't want teams to have to travel to BOTH San Diego AND Oakland, (or both San Francisco, AND Seattle) so they altered it, so that it wouldn't be an extreme disadvantage to the team that had to travel there. due to how far away they are from the other teams, as opposed to Denver, Kansas City, Arizona (the exception), and St. Louis, which are much more manageable

The Giants will sweep the NFC East, I have to agree with that. But there are going to be rough road games: Baltimore is one of the toughest places for any home team to win (thanks to the NFL, we get another half a home game at Fed Ex and maybe several thousand going to Philly). The trip to San Fran isn't going to be easy either, they are I'm sure hungry for revenge. I think the Giants will end up with like a 12-4 or 11-5 record. Just please make sure to beat the hell out of Shittsburgh when they come to town, Look forward to seeing you guys for what the real SB Rematch should be.
