It's been reported that Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III is planning to enter the NFL Draft. However, he hasn't announced that decision yet.

CBS Sports Charley Casserly reported Sunday that a decision will come next week, likely as early as Tuesday after Griffin meets with Baylor coach Art Briles.

"[Briles] told me he talked to Griffin last week," Casserly reported on The NFL Today. "Griffin is going to think about this weekend and they're going to come back and meet on Tuesday. At that point, Coach Briles told me Griffin will make his decision to stay in school or come out."

2012 NFL Draft

Griffin won the Heisman Trophy this season and led Baylor one of the best seasons in school history; certainly the best since Baylor last finished ranked in 1986.

RG3's stock is about as high as it could get and he'd be by far the consensus No. 2 quarterback in the Draft (behind only Stanford's Andrew Luck) if he left school and went pro.

Additionally, there are a number of quarterback-needy teams out there right now, and with the St. Louis Rams and Minnesota Vikings holding the No. 2 and No. 3 picks in the Draft, respectively, there's a good chance that someone like the Redskins or Browns could trade up to nab Griffin, making him a top-three pick.

Absolutely worst case for Griffin? He goes at No. 6 to Washington, where many people believe he'd fit nicely in Mike Shanahan's offense.

Of course, if you ask NFL Draft Scout's Rob Rang or Dane Brugler, he won't even make it that far -- they both have him going No. 4 overall to the Browns in our latest 2012 NFL Mock Drafts.

Casserly: RG3 to make NFL Draft decision Tuesday

Virtual GM...are you twelve years old? First of all there is ZERO chance that RGIII stays in school...ZERO. All of this Tuesday nonsense is just his agent playing up the drama and calling more attention to Griffin. Secondly, if RGIII was to stay at Baylor, there is ZERO chance he would taken in the NFL draft ahead of Matt Barkley. ZERO chance. Zip, nada, nyet, butkus. There isn't a single GM that would take Griffin over Barkley if given the chance for both. You're living in a fantasy world if you think otherwise. Barkley WILL be the first QB taken in the 2013 provided he is healthy. Also, anybody who thinks Mike Shanahan is going to take RGIII needs to put down the crack pipe. No way Shanny is going the "dynamic" QB route again, especially not after the debacle with McDunce. Shanny's playbook has more than five plays. Finally, don't discount the odds that Russell Wilson is the second QB taken in the draft. Wilson shows a lot of poise in the pocket, good decision making skills, and all around maturity and savvy. Make no mistake, Russell Wilson can play. Despite his lack of height, Wilson grades out pretty good as far as his NFL potential. A decade or more ago, Wilson would have no chance of being drafted, since all QB's were pocket passers. Today, there is a decided push for the "dynamic", and mobile QB who doesn't stay in the pocket (see Brees, Vick, Newton, Tebow). Wilson fits the mold. RGIII will likely still be the second QB taken, but it wouldn't be big surprise if it was Wilson.

...that would be a huge shake up in the nfl draft..
yep and not just one draft, two drafts. if he goes in the 2013 draft then that means the QB class in 2013 will be stacked. i personally though would go to the pros, i think he goes no lower than pick six and that's if Washington doesnt trade up. they may trade up to make sure they get RG3.

sorry Baylor fans, BUT if RG3 turns THIS down, then he needs to have his head looked at because he WILL be the 2nd QB taken no farther than pick 6.

Everyone, myself included, expects RG3 to come out...but what if he does the unusual and says nope returning to school going to get my masters first, and enter the draft next year when I'm the #1 overall QB and have won yet another bowl and yet another Heisman...that would be a huge shake up in the nfl draft...and if that was the case then by all means Chiefs stay at pick 11 or 12 draft down for more picks or choose a RT or LT at that spot I won't care honestly this draft seems...after the top 5 kind of meh...but then again maybe all drafts after the top 5 are meh anyway.
