Tim Tebow did a lot of things Sunday that no one expected (like throw for exactly 316 passing yards). One such thing: unlocking a $250,000 bonus in his contract for winning a playoff game.

A clause in Tebow's contract paying him that money was activated on Sunday night according to Adam Schefter of ESPN, when Tebow won a playoff game. For every playoff game that Tebow wins, provided he's taken 70 percent of his team's snaps in a season, he gets an additional $250,000.

Tebowmania

We already knew that Tebow unlocked a $472,000 bonus for playing in more than 45 percent of his team's snaps back in December.

Closing out the season as the starter, Tebow passed the 70-percent threshold and now is owed an additional $250 GRR.

If the Broncos somehow manage to topple New England, Tebow will be in line for an additional bonus. (And the same is true up through the Super Bowl, giving Tebow the potential to earn an extra ... one million dollars.)

And you know what's almost as funny as Austin Powers jokes? Thinking back to before the season and imagining a world where Tebow not only played in 73 percent of the Broncos plays in 2011, but discussing the possibility of him making an extra quarter-million as a result of beating the Steelers in the playoffs.

Yet, somehow, here we are.

Yeah, because he's a toolshed.  McDaniels didn't draft all on his own ya know.  Brian Zanders, who was with McDaniels, is still GM of the team.

McDaniels does not know what he's doing, he is a total buffoon, and he's finally back where he belongs, getting Bill coffee and rubbing Brady's shoulders.

Dude...you know when McDaniel's was our coach, he had final say in all personnel decisions too, right?  Just like Shanahan did.  Do you think if Xanders had ANY say they still would have traded up to the first round for Tebow when he was projecfted to go much later?  It was 100% McDaniels' show when he was Denver's HC.  Take a look here if you don't beliueve me.

Not until they got rid of him and brought Elway and Fox in did Xanders start taking a more proactive approach in his job.  Why do you think the whole "FEX brain trust" thing is so big now?  This is what bothers me about people who still refuse to give credit where credit is due...they usually have no clue as to what really went down.

Love him or hate him, McDaniels' last draft could end up being one of the better ones in Bronco history.  His first five picks look pretty solid right now.  Thomas, Tebow, Beadles, Walton & Decker.  3 of those guys were starters all year long.  Tebow became the starter in Week 5.  Thomas is just now coming into his own after all of those injuries.  All McDaniels guys.  I've been saying it for at east a month now...maybe McDaniels wasn't the McDumbass everybody made him out to be.  Imagine if Knowshon would have worked out.  What if he does next year?  McDaniels would have built nearly their entire offense and NO ONE wants to give him any credit.

That's exactly what I was thinking! Except maybe give Thomas 25% and the defense 25% and McGahee 25% and go a head and keep 25%.

I would say that he should split that 50/50 with Demaryius Thomas.

Could the BEAST from back East have finally been UNLEASHED?  Poor Stephen Jackson had to be administered an I V TUBE & OXYGEN MASK due to complete & utter SHOCK. Pittsburgh, you been TEBOWED - STRUCK!!!  Bellicheck, your next. Revenge is a dish best served cold. It will be very cold in Foxborough this weekend. Al Davis finally get's his revenge on the Patriots, via the most hated rival team; for Snowball Fumble 1. Welcome to Snowball 2 as Broncos rush for 376 yards and 270 yards passing in upset of Pats. Just a note of interest: Tebow's favorite scripture is John 3:16. After the miacle TD play in overtime, Tebow finished with 3 - 1 - 6 passing yards. His 4th quarter QB rating : 31.6% .  The Broncos time of possession for the game :  31 minutes and 6 seconds. Can I get an AMEN?

He took a shot in the mouth during the KC game and it split his lip open. Couple stiches, I think.

Worth every penny.  Tebow, yes- Hoge, Esiason, Dilfer- TEBOW! - scorched THE VAUNT
ED and #1 Steeler DEF....with extreme prejudice. Chunk play after chunk play....giving other teams something to strategize about.  How embarrassing for the arrogant Steelers. Pitt was overrated all season.  Respect for Tomlin..no excuses for injuries.  This Bronco victory was as sweet for me as App State over Michigan.  lol
