Sounds like Fisher is leaning toward Miami

FisherBy Josh Katzowitz

By the end of Thursday, this post could be obsolete. Hell, it might be outdated by the end of breakfast.

Or Jeff Fisher could continue making us wait as he tries to figure out his next move and whether he wants to be the coach of the Rams or the Dolphins. While at least one person on Twitter speculated that Fisher was stalling so he could determine what new Colts general manager Ryan Grigson and owner Jim Irsay will do with coach Jim Caldwell, NFL.com is speculating that Fisher’s most likely option involves him taking his talents to South Beach.

Fisher interviewed with the Rams and Dolphins last week, and apparently since then, he’s been torn on which job to take.

Some believe the Dolphins can offer more money, but others think that the Rams already have a franchise quarterback in Sam Bradford that could make Fisher’s transition easier. Some theorize that Fisher isn’t all that fond of Bradford, while others wonder how enthralled he’d be with the Dolphins organizational structure. He might not like the possibility of St. Louis moving to Los Angeles, and, I don’t know, maybe he’s worried about how much of his money will go to buying sunscreen in south Florida.

But Jason La Canfora’s sources tell him that, “one of the issues holding up a deal between Fisher and the Rams is compensation … Fisher is seeking to be among the higher-paid coaches in the league, in the range of $7 million per season … Rams owner Stan Kroenke has not displayed a willingness to reach that stratosphere to this point.”

Either way, it seems like Fisher’s decision could come soon. Maybe even before you’re done reading this post.

Until then, check out this week’s latest coaching news and rumors post.

What is so hard about this decision for Fisher? You can either coach a shitty team for less money in St Louis, or coach a shitty team for more money in Miami. Uhhm, I have never taken a vacation to St Louis or played golf in Feb in St Louis. Not a tough call if you simplify it.

Bradford can't stay healthy has has shown no reason to believe he is worthy as a franchise quarterback.  Matt Moore (the backup) had a better year then Bradford has ever put out.  The Rams have S. Jackson....that's about it.

Sounds like Fisher is leaning toward Miami

I'm a lifelong Rams fan and I would love to get Fisher, because out of the
Coaches available he is by far the best one. What I don't understand is why he
is taking so long to make a decision if indeed it is between the Rams and the
Dolphins. It's clear the Rams have a far better QB to start, their in a much
easier division, and the Rams have money to spend on free agents and they have
the 2nd overall pick in this season's draft. The Rams have a lot more options
than the Dolphins and if they don't screw this draft up they could take the 2nd
overall pick, trade it to someone like Washington that wants RG3, get additional
picks and draft a future #1 WR in Blackmon.

Let's be honest though,
this is the Rams and for some reason they are known to screw up even the easiest
football decisions from year to year. If the Rams don't get Fisher their going
to wish they kept Spagnola for one more year, because there isn't any other
coaches available with real experience, and were going to get stuck with someone
that is in way over his head. We have Bradford, anyone that knows him or knows
football can see he is a great QB to build a team around, but two more years of
a season like this one might ruin him for his career. Don't F this up Rams, or
do and come back home to LA where you belong.
