Sounds like Fisher is leaning toward Miami

FisherBy Josh Katzowitz

By the end of Thursday, this post could be obsolete. Hell, it might be outdated by the end of breakfast.

Or Jeff Fisher could continue making us wait as he tries to figure out his next move and whether he wants to be the coach of the Rams or the Dolphins. While at least one person on Twitter speculated that Fisher was stalling so he could determine what new Colts general manager Ryan Grigson and owner Jim Irsay will do with coach Jim Caldwell, NFL.com is speculating that Fisher’s most likely option involves him taking his talents to South Beach.

Fisher interviewed with the Rams and Dolphins last week, and apparently since then, he’s been torn on which job to take.

Some believe the Dolphins can offer more money, but others think that the Rams already have a franchise quarterback in Sam Bradford that could make Fisher’s transition easier. Some theorize that Fisher isn’t all that fond of Bradford, while others wonder how enthralled he’d be with the Dolphins organizational structure. He might not like the possibility of St. Louis moving to Los Angeles, and, I don’t know, maybe he’s worried about how much of his money will go to buying sunscreen in south Florida.

But Jason La Canfora’s sources tell him that, “one of the issues holding up a deal between Fisher and the Rams is compensation … Fisher is seeking to be among the higher-paid coaches in the league, in the range of $7 million per season … Rams owner Stan Kroenke has not displayed a willingness to reach that stratosphere to this point.”

Either way, it seems like Fisher’s decision could come soon. Maybe even before you’re done reading this post.

Until then, check out this week’s latest coaching news and rumors post.

Are you Dolphin fans kidding?

Talent....what talent?

They have Long who is one of the premiere Tackles (good start), a potentially great wr who drops too many passes, a barely 1000 yard rusher who has had his best season ever and hasn't proven that he can stay healthy, and a rookie running back who hasn't fullfilled his promise. After that, they have a questionable QB, two recievers and a te who all were under 600 yards, and a no name no performance defense.

Here are some team stats:

Points given up     26th
yards given up      15th (because teams let up after giving up so many points)
Turn Overs

; 26th
sacks

;     &nbs
p;  20th

Offensive yards     11th (racking them up trying to come back)
points scored
;   20th

They have a decent to good offense with a questionable querterback and no where near a top 10 defense. According to the above stats, ANY team can say they have talent, but just need a coach.

Why bother going to a two bit team like Miami Jeff, when you can come to the almighty Raiders ! We can guarantee you at the very most a one year contract, at a far more friendly stadium with the best behaved fans in the league. On the upside he could help develop the most promising RB in the league (If he can stay healthy). Please come Jeff, we really need someone who actually knows how to coach a team and try to hold the penalties to under 15 a game.

Miami is one of the worst jobs in NFL and I don't think you oculd pay Fisher enough to take that train wreck. Here's why I say that 1) he'd have to work with Carl Peterson and that's near impossible. 2) Miami has a terrible QB situation vs STL which has their (they believe) Franchise QB already in Bradford.) StL has a coach and GM opening and I believe this is what Fisher wants forget money he wants power...so STL is an overwhelmingly much better and obvious fit then Miami which is going to be battling cleveland for who's city has a biger crap hole of a team and organization

Actually Miami doesnt have a QB at all since all are free agents. And how could u bashthem about injuries, if he signs with the Rams hell have the biggest Injury prone qb in the world in Bradford. And hes overrated toboot. Miami has a top 10 defense, good rbs, great wr, and a top 10 pick that i foresee them packaging in a deal to move up to get Rg3. WHo the hell has Fisher coached before at QB that was great McNair?? Come on now, he was good  when he played but he wasnt a deal breaker for fisher to stay coaching there. Fishers teams always had good running backs- ala George, ad great defenses and Special Teams. Miami is a great fit for him,
