Sounds like Fisher is leaning toward Miami

FisherBy Josh Katzowitz

By the end of Thursday, this post could be obsolete. Hell, it might be outdated by the end of breakfast.

Or Jeff Fisher could continue making us wait as he tries to figure out his next move and whether he wants to be the coach of the Rams or the Dolphins. While at least one person on Twitter speculated that Fisher was stalling so he could determine what new Colts general manager Ryan Grigson and owner Jim Irsay will do with coach Jim Caldwell, NFL.com is speculating that Fisher’s most likely option involves him taking his talents to South Beach.

Fisher interviewed with the Rams and Dolphins last week, and apparently since then, he’s been torn on which job to take.

Some believe the Dolphins can offer more money, but others think that the Rams already have a franchise quarterback in Sam Bradford that could make Fisher’s transition easier. Some theorize that Fisher isn’t all that fond of Bradford, while others wonder how enthralled he’d be with the Dolphins organizational structure. He might not like the possibility of St. Louis moving to Los Angeles, and, I don’t know, maybe he’s worried about how much of his money will go to buying sunscreen in south Florida.

But Jason La Canfora’s sources tell him that, “one of the issues holding up a deal between Fisher and the Rams is compensation … Fisher is seeking to be among the higher-paid coaches in the league, in the range of $7 million per season … Rams owner Stan Kroenke has not displayed a willingness to reach that stratosphere to this point.”

Either way, it seems like Fisher’s decision could come soon. Maybe even before you’re done reading this post.

Hold Out!

Fisher's people need to hold out for a lot more cash from miami--the dolphins owners are desperate and will pay whatever fisher wants.  His agent needs to play the St. Louis card to get a big increase from miami.  It will work if played right.  Fisher will be the highest paid coach in the NFL!!!

I think I'd have to say you made my point.........

So your point was that he has had the talent and simply failed as a coach to be above average? We are agreed then. I love it when that happens. Good talk.

Hey DB...I didn't have a kicker on my list, that was Mr.    Besides your HOF statement....Bruce Mathews is most definitely in the HOF, and Kevin Mawae probably will be.  Funny thing is...people answer your question and you go running off with the mouth, sorry we actually were able to answer your question "without Google".  Fischer is mediocre, but he still had enough talent to win more IMO

I was really hoping the Bears would hire a GM and have the GM let Lovie go.  Bring Fisher back to Chicago were he belongs.  Its the ultimate job that he wants and has been waiting for.  To bad the Bears are still ran by the McCaskies.

I don't think Fisher is the savior either - I actually prefer Billick for the Dolphins situation - but he is a pretty good coach and was able to put a competitive team on the field each year.  I am sure the Dolphins are expecting more than a competitive team for $7mill+/year but I do think there is something to the issue of the upheaval of the Oilers team and dealing with that screwball Bud Adams.

I really believe the delay in his decision is not because he cannot decide...it's a ploy to increase his $ offer.  EVERYTHING is about money and this is no different and you are fooling yourself if you believe differently.  He has not made his decision because he is using the situation to leverage more money...plain and simple.
