Sounds like Fisher is leaning toward Miami

FisherBy Josh Katzowitz

By the end of Thursday, this post could be obsolete. Hell, it might be outdated by the end of breakfast.

Or Jeff Fisher could continue making us wait as he tries to figure out his next move and whether he wants to be the coach of the Rams or the Dolphins. While at least one person on Twitter speculated that Fisher was stalling so he could determine what new Colts general manager Ryan Grigson and owner Jim Irsay will do with coach Jim Caldwell, NFL.com is speculating that Fisher’s most likely option involves him taking his talents to South Beach.

Fisher interviewed with the Rams and Dolphins last week, and apparently since then, he’s been torn on which job to take.

Some believe the Dolphins can offer more money, but others think that the Rams already have a franchise quarterback in Sam Bradford that could make Fisher’s transition easier. Some theorize that Fisher isn’t all that fond of Bradford, while others wonder how enthralled he’d be with the Dolphins organizational structure. He might not like the possibility of St. Louis moving to Los Angeles, and, I don’t know, maybe he’s worried about how much of his money will go to buying sunscreen in south Florida.

But Jason La Canfora’s sources tell him that, “one of the issues holding up a deal between Fisher and the Rams is compensation … Fisher is seeking to be among the higher-paid coaches in the league, in the range of $7 million per season … Rams owner Stan Kroenke has not displayed a willingness to reach that stratosphere to this point.”

Either way, it seems like Fisher’s decision could come soon. Maybe even before you’re done reading this post.

Advice to Miami...Open the wallet and pay the man..Jeff Fisher will no doubt get the Dolphins back in the Playoffs and beyond. He's a smart football coach that makes smart football decisions.. Pay him, Pay him now or lose him because someone else will.

The AFC East will be a beast next season if he signs with Miami.  Being a huge patriots fan, it is odd for me to say but why wouldnt you want to coach in Miami especially if your getting $7 million per year?  The Dolphins are a very talented team already even though most of this season didnt show it.  Having Reggie Bush who seems to be starting to live up to expectations of years ago, Brandon Marshall, Cameron Wake, and Vontae Davis is not a bad group a guys to build around. Not to mention, you have a group of celebrity owners, and you live basically on a beach in Miami.  This should be a dream job for him and it would be shocking if he chose Indianapolis (if a spot opens) or St. Louis.   All they need now is a quarterback and with a possibility of Peyton leaving the Colts, there is a lot to be optimistic about in Miami.

You didn't say to name players after 2003 or 2004...you statement read.."Im not defending him, but he hasnt had any players"  Alot of those guys on our lists are HOF and some of the others are borderline...look he did some good work with Kerry Collins of all people.  Butted heads with the owner badly, all said, I would have took his tenure in STL, he's better that the clowns they've been trotting out there recently

Why is Fisher such a big deal?

Winning seasons in only 6 of 16 years????  5-6 in theplayoffs, 3 of those wins in 1 season.

I'm in no way defending Jeff Fisher. 7 Million a year is crazy, but I have a question for you. Name the top 6 players he coached in his 16 year hc tenure. First try to off the top of your head before you use google. This goes out to anyone who criticizes someone who worked for an owner who once paid elvin bethea his signing bonus with cattle.

Off the top of my head. I think I've made my point. There has been no shortage of talented players on the Titans roster. Just a shortage of good coaching from the Head position.
To Josh Kat...but,but,but Mike "I have sources on the inside(of his mind)" Freeman says that Fisher will be in St. Louis. How dare you contrdict the best writer of fiction in the CBS stable.

this is not world, shattering news. fisher is not the end all. you hire fisher and automatically a world beater? i dont think so. he will probably do all right. he needs to learn the lesson that he has a boss. the owner. i dont like himbecause he deals from his ego. some people are just like that.
