Tiger Woods and Tim Tebow playing golf together?(US Presswire)

Tim Tebow's done his best to break the bastion of evil known as the Internet, via incredible comebacks and whatnot, but Al Gore's invention has stood the test of Tebow thus far. However if the rumor about Tiger Woods and Tim Tebow being paired together at the AT&T Pro-Am in Pebble Beach comes to fruition, you better lock down your servers.

Global Golf Post reports that the pairing is a possibility, citing a "highly placed source" within the tournament who says the tourney "is strongly considering issuing an invitation" to Tebow.

As CBSSports.com's Steve Elling wrote recently, Woods will make his 2012 American debut at Pebble on February 9.

"It's always been one of my favorite spots," Woods said. "It might be the prettiest place on earth."

It's one of our favorite spots too, and not just because the tournament's shown on CBS. (What? We like synergy.) But it might not look quite as pretty if Woods is paired with Tebow, because the galleries, which are typically reduced for an event like a Pro-Am, will be absolutely ridiculous.

A few things have to go down for this to happen, of course. The tournament has to invite Tebow, Tebow has to accept and Woods, per Global Golf Post, would need to "approve the pairing."

But Tiger probably would, because, well it would be good for everyone involved. Oh, and also because Tebow's a pretty good golfer: he played with Jack Nicklaus and Kenny G at the 2011 Honda Classic Pro-Am and, as you can see below, has a Phll Mickelson-like swing:

Tiger Woods and Tim Tebow paired at AT&T Pro-Am?

I fault myself for making a NASCAR crack, as they do change VERY often. My point WAS : Putting those two together will cause an unmanageable mob and turn the Pro/Am into a zoo. I am a huge golf fan and have attended several US Open tournaments, 1 PGA, 1 day of the Master's every other year and watch EVERY TV event I can. My point is I'm tired of all Tiger all the time and now all Tebow all the time. I thank ESPN for this. I watched one tournament late last year where Tiger was 12 strokes off the lead and they only showed the leaders or any other golfer 2 times. Not underinformed, I know you were joking about Bing Crosby and I advise you, if possible, to visit the Bobby Jones room at the Atlanta Athletic Club. Don't know where you live, but let me know and I'll take you as a guest. Also, again, based on where you live you MUST visit the World Golf Village near St. Augustine or go to Ponte Vedra and stay in a Golf Villa and play one of the courses at either facility. At Sawgrass, play the Valley Course, it's more fun than the stadium course. Sorry I didn't make myself clearer about what I was trying to rant about. By The Way Pebble is one of my favorite tournaments and Bethpage Black is one of my favorite courses. Cheers.

How is this a changing rule, like NASCAR? If you are bitching about the PGA has said that they will now, organize fileds due to TV draw, nationality, friendships, colleges, etc. versus the old draw system. Is that what you are yelling about "rule changes?" If so, you are an entire season too late. They made--the very intelligent decision--to do that a season ago. Also, ever heard of Bing Crosby? That is where the Pro/Am thing started with. You are woefully underinformed, and appear to have no idea of why this event is a big part of the TOUR.

REALLY, REALLY don't want to be subjected to a T/T pairing.....just like NASCAR and their constantly changing rules, I just won't watch. PGA better be really cwith this one.....it will be an out of control 3 ring circus

How can the pairing be anything but Webb Simpson and Tim Tebow? As has been said, Tiger is a foul-mouthed golfer, and if nothing else, a Buddhist--not a Christian. Besides the media's obsession with both, they have very little in common. (Okay, they are professional athletes, but to compare what Tebow has done to arguably the greatest golfer ever, is silly.) Webb and Tim make much more sense. Perhaps Webb isn't in the field? I haven't checked. But a Tebow and Tiger pairing is silly, because if you have that much TV draw, you split them up so you can then have at least 2 groups with a huge draw.

Tiger Woods and Tim Tebow paired at AT&T Pro-Am?

I'm sure Tiger will want to watch Tebow top the ball all over the golf course.  And Tiger, who has LONG been known as one of the most vulgar and foul mouthed golfers on TOUR, will certainly offend Tebow when he starts dropping F-bomb's on the course.  Maybe this would be a good pairing to watch after all...  :)

Tiger Woods and Tim Tebow paired at AT&T Pro-Am?

Have you heard this one before? A rabbi, a God-fearing Quarterback, a serial cheater on his wife and a fat guy with a Hooter's shirt walk into the 19th hole and ask the bartender; My man, can you hook us up with some drinks? Aw! Forget it. Any story with Tiger Woods in it can't be very funny.

Tiger Woods and Tim Tebow paired at AT&T Pro-Am?

Why would anyone want to see one of the worlds greatest atheletes and possibly the greatest golfer of all time, with a third rate QB that hasn't done anything in his NFL career, and if not for his propaganda machine lead by the NFL (the good old boys), and ESPN (too pc to say he sucks), and Jim Nance of CBS Sports, he would not be playing but benched, and possibly serving fries at McD.

This is an insult to Tiger.  Put Tiger with Brady, or Cam Newton, Brees, Rogers...  Put him with a real good QB, not a pretty boy who thinks he can pray his way to better results, and who has the worst skills in the NFL!!!
