Eli Manning was sent home from Giants practice Wednesday with what was termed a stomach bug, and for those who worried that the illness had the potential to keep him out of action through Sunday’s NFC title game, the Giants have assuaged your fears.

On Thursday morning, the Giants tweeted the following: "Eli is in the building today and will return to @Giants practice! #ALLIN"

Which is what coach Tom Coughlin predicted Wednesday when he said, “"Hopefully it's a 24-hour deal and he'll be better tomorrow.”

Turns out Manning is, and with Patriots quarterback Tom Brady returning to practice in New England, it seems that all four starting quarterbacks remaining will be available to lead their teams this weekend.

I see than another person called me a tool. As funny as you think you are. Regardless of what your impressions are. Nothing you can say, nothing you can do can change the result.

I know I did not call you a tool, just an idiot..so it was a completly different person...LMAO...get the hint?

And when we played the Saints, it hadn't rained in San Francisco in MONTHS. It was sunny and dry. Peter King of Sports Illustrated said "The field was in ideal playing conditions. They Saints can't lean on that."  I hate that lame ass excuse people give about the Saints on the road.

Excusses? what do you call it when it is factual proven with statistics....WOW your stupid.

The fact is, our defense was more physical than they could handle... and they were unprepared for what our offense did.

The 9ers forced 5 turnovers and bearly won the game. Your Defense gave up over 30 points and almost lost the game ...twice when it mattered.

No one, including many 49er fans, didn't think Alex Smith had it in him. That's why we beat the Saints.

So you credit the defense in your last comment and now it's Alex Smith...Oh wait, you must have realized that your Defense blew the lead twice and Smith had to win the game for you...So what was that about the defense being too much to handle?

But, the Saints game has very little to do with why I think we can win. It's similar to the AFC with the fact that just because Brady put up a bunch of TDs vs. the Broncos, who kept giving the Pats the ball back, the Ravens won't allow the same thing...It's nearly irrelevant.

Yeah

I'm taking NOTHING away from the Giants.

But you already have....do you even read what you post meathead?

I believe they're playing really well... But, I believe that many people feel it will be automatic and it won't be either way.

Glad you beleive it. Don't let a little thing like observation and facts influance you.

It'll come down to field position and turnovers.

As does almost every post season game....real bright conclusion

Same goes for us. If we turn the ball over, if we can't control the clock, if we can't get first downs, you will win. But, we don't really turn the ball over and we're not intimidated. And in all honesty, I love Victor Cruz. But Victor Cruz vs. a Dallas Defense in disarray and our defense is two different things.

Still think Mad Dog is on NY radio meathead? You provide indepth views of the game..I love the "If we turn the ball over, if we can't control the clock, if we can't get first downs, you will win" comment. Pure Genius.

Eli is NOT what you people think he is.

Really? So he is not the same guy who threw for nearly 5000 yards? Care to explain?

The Packers had the worst defense in the league and the Falcons were not a whole lot better.

Ohhhh..this is why. So beating a 15-1 team at home means nothing...OK now your making sense

This week your golden boy will face a real defense. Just remember what happened already this year, YOU LOST!!!!! Smith is far better now than he was then and Gore will be healthy. Next stop Super Bowl 46 and ring number 6 :--)

Yes I remeber, the 9ers could not get any pressure and Eli had a TD batted down by Smith to prevent the game from being tied...All this with no Tuck, Bradshaw, Osi limited and a defense that was not playing well at the time.

Eli threw for 300+ and 2 tds in that game.  If not for a tipped ball at the goal line it goes into OT and is a coin flip.  Also, that game was in Candlestick too, without Bradshaw or Boley for 2/3rds.  The venue won't be a factor, your kickers although good won't be a factor, the weather could be a factor but will benefit the Giants passing game.  No DB can stay with a wideout on a slick surface, they know their cut and where they're going.  I think it will be a great game, but putting down Eli after he torched the Niner D already this year, albeit in a loss, is just silly.

Eli threw for 300+ and 2 tds against San Fran in that game.  If not for a fluke tipped ball the game goes into OT and it's a coin flip.  Oh and that game was in Candlestick too, without Bradshaw.  There will be no fear or intimidation from the venue, and touting your kicker and punter is hilarious.  I think it will be a great game, but putting down Eli after he cut up your D even in the loss is just silly.

DrKnowledge......Why so bitter?  There is an East Coast bias because there is money to be made in those storylines with a massive east coast population which follows these teams and franchises closely.  I have no axe to grind with west coast teams.  The Lakers get tons of press because they garner national interest and the media makes money with Lakers headlines.  Why no east coast bias when it comes to the Lakers?

The 49ers garnered plenty of national headlines back in the 80s because they were a powerhouse.  They had superstars that were covered by ESPN on a daily basis. But they haven't made a run like this in some time so forgive the rest of the country if there isnt a media crush that just won its first playoff game in over 5 years.

And by the way,  the NYGiants were taking a backseat in their own town for the last few years because Rex kept guaranteeing Superbowls.  But who cares.  It's about your team winning on the field, not in the papers.

And lastly,  the 49ers have garnered more press for their dramatic win last week than any of the 3 other remaining teams.  Except maybe the Giants because NY just went to historic Lambeau Field and beat a 15-1 Superbowl Champion team that some were calling the best of all-time 4 weeks ago (bill cowher).  The 49ers deserve the press they have gotten from that game last week, it captivated the football nation.  But the Giants earned their headlines as well.

manning is not who we think he is?

you mean he isn't a superbowl winning (and SB MVP winning) QB?  you mean he isn't a QB who threw for nearly 5000 yards this season?  you mean he isn't the QB with the most 4th quarter TDs in a season in NFL history?  you mean he isn't a QB with two 1000 yard receivers who have been lighting it up all year?  you mean he isn't a QB who has already avenged every loss he has had the chance to avenge this year?

i could go on and on but i live in reality so i'll leave us to watch the game and see what happens.

if we don't win i'll be here to say good luck in the superbowl. think you can do the same?
