In general, Tom Brady leads a charmed life. He's an NFL quarterback, three-time Super Bowl champ, UGG spokesman -- and the cherry on top -- he's married to supermodel Gisele Bündchen. Yes, the Patriots fell to the Giants Sunday night in Super Bowl XLVI, and yes Brady was distraught by the outcome, but in the scheme of things, it won't define his career.

Of course, the criticism in the hours after the loss were swift and, well, critical. Brady was accused of a horrible performance even though he started 20 of 24, broke Joe Montana's Super Bowl completion record in the process, then suffered a Justin Tuck sack that changed everything. He finished the night 7 of 17 and a slightly off-target throw to Wes Welker with four minutes to go ultimately proved to be the difference.

Gisele, who was at the game, had to endure jeers and taunts from Giants fans as she left her suite at Lucas Oil Stadium.

“Eli rules!” screamed one fan. “Eli owns your husband!” yelled another.

Gisele's response?

“You (have) to catch the ball when you’re supposed to catch the ball,” she snapped back, according to CBS New York. “My husband cannot (bleeping) throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time. I can’t believe they dropped the ball so many times.”

Welker took full responsibility for not coming down with a Brady throw that was also high and behind him.

"The ball is right there," Welker said when asked if he was looking for it on the other shoulder. "I've just got to make the play. It's a play I've made a thousand times in practice and everything else. It comes to the biggest moment of my life and I don't come up with it. It's discouraging."

Brady, for his part, didn't waver in his support of Welker.

"Wes was running down the field and it looked like they messed the coverage up a little bit and I threw it to him," said Brady. "(Welker) went up to try and make it, as he always does, and we just couldn't connect. He's a hell of a player. I'll keep throwing the ball to him for as long as I possible can. He's a phenomenal player and teammate and I love that guy."

Apparently, a TMZ source says that Brady's teammates are "disappointed" and feel betrayed by Gisele's comments.

Gisele can't believe Pats dropped so many passes

I love all the disses in the below comments.

Gisele is a b!tch, when you really think about it.

She uses Brady to get into the news. Everyone knows that their relationship is a fake. It has to be.

I think it was a combination of Welker and Brady on that particular play. It was by no means a perfect pass, but Welker probably still should have caught it. I do think that Gisele blaming this all on the receivers is rather hilarious, though, as Brady's horrible decision to chuck the ball 50 yards down field instead of simply throwing it out of bounds on the first Patriots offensive possession of the game ended up screwing New England over just as much as the 2nd and 11 play.

was the worst of them all. If the normally sure-handed Welker made the catch, the odds were pretty good that Brady and the Patriots would have won the Super Bowl.
If you are such a Tom Brady fan that you can watch that play and blame Welker for a drop instead of Brady for an errant throw, then you should probably go propose to Brady yourself.

I wouldn't go so far as to call Gisele a hag, but she's certainly no Bridget Moynahan.

They need to take that picture down as I cannot get over how unattractive that woman is.  Who pays her to model, and why?  I guess she is a good walker, or whatever she is supposed to do on her stage.  The pretty boy and the ugly hag.  Nice couple.  I remember scenes from them on vacation when Tom had the long hair and actually looked more like a woman than the hag does now.

Gisele Bundchen had enough of the hecklers ripping husband Tom Brady.

So, the model fired back. With a foul-mouthed angry response.

"My husband can not throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time," she said,  I can't believe they dropped the ball so many  times."

The incident happened while she was being taunted by Giants fans after the 21-17 victory over Brady's Patriots in Sunday's Super Bowl.

No fault on Gisele's part for defending Brady.
Although, the expletive and trashing the Pats receivers in the process was likely due to the vodka she was swigging on as she headed for the elevator.
Come on man, did you really think that was water?

Gisele can't believe Pats dropped so many passes

This is getting so much airplay, but she could be right. But then again, Brady was a bit off in the second half, and it is a gargantuan stage for everyone on the field. Pressure gets to you after 2 weeks. The Giants didn't seem to mind too much. A couple of oversights. Not looking out for the strip whilst pushing for extra yards. I was beginning to get worried when the Giants receivers kept going for the extra yards, and looked like they were going to cough it up. They got a talkin to I think because they stopped that overeager push. Good coachin, but some oversightedness on both sides. Too many men penalty both ways. Letting the Giants score 2 or 3 or even 1 play too late, at the end. Gladly no Cundiff, or Kyle Williams type goof ups. In retrospect. There's been better games, but this had everything the game 4 years ago had to a lesser scale. 12 and a half dogs winning on a last drive to this 3-1 dog. Of, course the Manningham play is lesser than Tyrees, but, I think it was a tougher catch, at full speed and close to out of bounds, just Tyrees was more dramatic, because of the helmet thing. Everything else was eerily almost identical at the finish. But back to Gisele. Nice going, but pls. Tom is not retiring, and he will be throwing to those guys next year. And you will be bumping into them here and there wont you ? They know half the globe is watching this..so...
