Who calls you pro?  You're like Uncle Rico in Napolean Dynomite, living in your van, cursing your high school football coach for not starting you, wishing if only you could turn back the hands of time, because you could have been somebody.  And now, you're pissed American Idol caps it age 28.  Because if Whitney can't sing, then well only one person can, and that's you dipshit.  Once you come to terms with all your shortcomings, you'll be a happier person and less likley to talk down to others in order to lift yourself up.

Can't believe how many here are giving her grief for how her life turned out.  Most people who talk trash about others refuse to admit their own life failures.  Simple truth is that not a single one of us have it all figured out.  Her addiction was drugs and it depressed and ruined her.  I think we all have addictions, whether drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, porn, or even food.  Bottom line, we all have our problems, but we all also have our talents.  But do we use our talents?  This goes back to my comment above, those who talk trash are most likely to have a god given talent they never did anything with and are pissed off at themselves about it.  Whitney's talent gave us the best performance of the National Anthem ever - at a time when we needed it most.  But the comments on here reflect too much of our society - thank you so much for what you gave, but I don't have the time to help you out.  Just ask a former military man.

Whitney Houston dies from lifetime of substance

abuse.  This is a shame.  Let it be a warning to all who would throw their lives away doing the same.  The initial rush is not worth the heavy price to be paid on the back end of the journey.  In the end, it was the years of ruining her body that led to her death.  It just couldn't take any more abuse.  Mark your time well, for you never know when it will be your day to go and face your maker.  And what will you say to Him when you do?

for the record, I think what berkowitz later posted is abominable, her feminine hygiene is none of our business, I do think though that to glorify and hail her as great when she was in the deep throes of crack addiction for 20 yrs is obscene. Celebrate the music (if you like it) and i still dont know the reason why this OD is reported on SPORTS.

"In 1991, Whitney Houston sang the Anthem, and it was considered by some at the time to be one of the best Anthem performances ever. Later it was revealed that Whitney was singing into a dead microphone, and the performance was pre-recorded. " There was no Super Bowl performance. She stood there and moved her lips. Jack sprat - that was one of the most ridiculous posts I ever read. You should stop using the Internet.
