  • Late yesterday, LeBron tweeted: "Don't think for one min that I haven't been taking mental notes of everyone taking shots at me this summer. And I mean everyone! "
  • George Diaz of the Orlando Sentinel on LeBron's tweet : "Cancel the NBA season. Now. Be done with it, Mr. Stern. Skip all the formalities. Let’s just have the ticker-tape parade now. Break out the party favors South Florida! Crank up Will Smith’s old-school hit “Miami”, celebrating the majesty and magnificence of the Miami Heat. “Bouncin’ in the club where the heat is on. All night on the beach til the break of dawn.” Yeah baby! Jeff Van Gundy says they are going to win every single game, or something like that. The Heat will be on TV 29 times this season, coming close to the number of times you can watch Law and Order on any given day. And King James sent out this defiant shout-out on Twitter on Tuesday: “Don’t think for one min that I haven’t been taking mental notes of everyone taking shots at me this summer. And I mean everyone!” Now we’ve gone and done it! LeBron James is mad! We are doomed! What’s the point of playing?"
  • Shaq says Kobe is the best he's played with: “A lot of people rank players from different opinions, but if you wanna go with ring standpoint it has to be Kobe,” O’Neal said. “LeBron is a great athlete, D-Wade is a great athlete, but it’s close. I’m lucky to have been able to play with both of those guys, but Kobe right now has had that eye for a long time. I’ve known him for a while. When he gets that eye there aren’t really too many people that can beat him.”
  • Rich Cho has added two assistant GMs . One is Bill Branch, Oklahoma City’s director of professional player personnel and Steve Rosenberry, who served as Atlanta’s director of pro personnel/college scouting.
  • Zach Lowe of CelticsHub with a lecture on expectations: "I have no clue whether the C’s will win 49 games or 60 games or 52 games next season, but I know for sure that 51 is a perfectly reasonable guess. And if they get 16 in the playoffs? Then we’ll forget the regular-season number pretty fast."
  • Isiah Thomas is taking part in a photo protest: "Another decision by Thomas — one made in concert with his son, Joshua Thomas — has drawn considerably less attention, and it's something of a groundbreaker, too: Thomas participated in the NOH8 Campaign, a "photographic silent protest" of California's controversial gay marriage ban."
  • Vince Ellis of the Detroit Free Press writes that the Pistons have an edge with McGrady because of their trainer: "The Pistons truly believe that they have an edge with strength-and-conditioning coach Kander, who has been with the team since the spring of 1992. They think his methods are great at preventing injuries (last season notwithstanding) and helping players overcome previous injuries."

Shootaround 8.11.10: LeBron is watching you

Dear Queen James,

In the process of taking all of your mental notes please jot this down:  while you may have the most talent in the NBA you have no heart.  The only time you showed heart and a will to win was Game 5 of the playoffs in 2007 against the Pistons.  Since that game you have decided to become a petulant little girl who cries when she doesn't get her way.  Hopefully during your time in Miami, Daddy Delonte can come on down with Big Mama and give you a good smack on the rear to jump start your heart.

We hope you blow out your knee,

So, Lebron continues to demonstrate he is more of a boy than a man. Ho hum, what else is new?

The Cavs was garbage before Lebron showed up.  You should be thankful.  But no, you're a whiney Cavs fan that can't get over it.
I find it it quite pathetic.  Go cry or something.

did you call Bosh the 6th best player in the league? The guy has been all nba 2nd team twice. Get a grip. He's good, not great, and gets dominated by players bigger than him. And learn some new words, the REST of the nba fan base has plenty of reason to think Lebron is a tool.

I can't wait for all you haters out there to amp up the hateration when the South Beach All-stars are breezing through the regular season and dominating in the play-offs.  Ok, LeBron air-balled his public relations this year. But c'mon.. the 2nd, 3rd and 6th best players in the league on one team.. this will be historic for the foreseeable future. No doubt!

Steve Carell??  Paul Rudd??  Whoa, LeBron, you tough guy!!!  How exactly do you plan on "getting" comedic actors??  What an idiot.

Btw, the Nero reference was great.  Didn't Nero have his own mother killed??  haha, visions of Delonte West giving his mom the Rusty Trombone must've sent him running to South Beach.

Hey LEBOOB--I bet Kobe is now just going to pack it in for season since you are not going to "forget anyone" --What a big-mouth fool who to date has won exactly---NOTHING.  You are now an overpaid, second rate sidecar in south beach that is happy to have someone to pass the ball to so you dont have to take the last shot--Throw the schedule out now, Leboob is really really mad---I would hate to be delonte west right abbout now.

Shootaround 8.11.10: LeBron is watching you

It's different for many reasons.  For one Lebron was on a team that made the ECF, built up for him, under his request, by someone who gave LeBron whatever he wanted professionally.

LeBron should also note how everybody can now notice just how much of a scumbag Nero he is.  He actually listed Cleveland? So sad.

"the city of Cleveland"

Nero LeBron

It's all about partying, and rigging the game like wall street, he learned from society oh so well growing up.

He didn't take less money, when you concern yourself with the all more much ACTUALLY goes INTO your bank account.

He screwed them over, but it's their bad, now he's going to make them pay.  Welcome to Nero like insanity Lebron.  Goes along with your pitiful wish to be the richest man in the world.  (something your stupid ass can't possibly achieve, about 400 TRILLION short)

LeNero "King" James

Are you gong to ditch the Heat too if you can't win a championships after ANOTHER team goes out and puts together this team for you?  Like Cleveland did for you?  An Owner than re-signed you to a max deal as soon as he could after your rookie season.  Gave you the keys to the team in every way.  Hell there was even a website named something like  or something like that.  It was an entire cleveland sports scene blog, but adorned HIS name.  This is the sort of love Cleveland gave him.

You were seen as a god in Cleveland. (WERE)
You are now seen as a sob (FOREVER)

Valid conclusions from LeNero's scumbaggery.  He chose it, and broke new ground spinning  that there is no I in 'TEAM' when joining the Heat....but as LeBron is so clueless about .....there is a 'M" and a "E"

So just like Nero, fans are irrelevant.  Who cares about THOSE, I'll gain just as good ones HERE.  Nero anyone?

I ain't even a cleveland fan.  My team lost Amare.  But Amare to Phx is NOTHING compared to LeNero with CLE.  1000x more special.  It's just amazing what LeNero did.  No one will forget, and he's just going to have to man up and live with it.

I hope the #8 in next year's WC playoffs takes you out. That is if he has the heart to get out of the first round.  Probably of course, but we now know for CERTAINTY, that LeNero has a LOSER"S MENTALITY.  That generally hurts championship aspirations. Hopefully that trend continues.
