We don't really have an official ruling on anything in the NBA until Charles Barkley speaks on it. So after LeBron's tweet about his mental hit list and all the talk coming from Miami, Chuck weighed in on ESPN Radio 103.3 with Galloway and Company.

"I heard about LeBron's little tweet today that he's remembering everybody who said anything bad about him," Barkley said. "And he said 'everybody.' Well, I want him to make sure that he puts my name on that (list) ... I thought that his little one-hour special was a punk move. I thought them dancing around on the stage was a punk move, and I thought he should've stayed in Cleveland. Him joining Dwyane Wade 's team was very disappointing to me."

See, that's why everyone loves Chuck. He tells it like it is, or at least, how he sees how it is. Barkley continued:

"He's got enough people kissing his ass with his family and all the people who work for him," Barkley said. "We don't have to tell him what he wants to hear all the time ... That one-hour special, them jumping around on stage like punks, that wasn't cool to me. From a basketball standpoint, I wish he had stayed in Cleveland, and if he takes that as criticism, so be it."

It's hard to disagree with anything there. Everything turned quickly into a spectacle which only made the new trio in Miami that much easier to dislike. And it doesn't sound as if Chuck is exactly terrified about landing on LeBron's mental list of death. As he put it towards the end of the interview, "He knows where I'll be, I don't run. I'm on TV every week, I'm easy to find."

The decision may go to charity but it wasn't like they showcased the charity they were working for. That's just a cop out excuse and they just threw that in at the end. It was poorly done. If it was for charity, they need to spot like the charity and things that charity does.
The wrong message was sent.

Kobe and any other player are chasing Jordan and will never get there. jordan did it home grown style, he made Pippen and everyone else better. You can't say the same for anybody else. So when you mention the Name King anymore just say MJ!!
You know what? Although I am a Pistons fan and don't like the Bulls ( especially when M.J played there) I have to agree with your statement 100 percent.  Would Scottie Pippen have been even half the player without Jordan? Never, that's the answer to that question.  I can prove it too... go look at Pippen's stats the second he stopped playing with Jordan....

The bottom line is  that yes, Jordan made everybody around him better. The only reason he didn't win sooner and lost for a while was because the conference was much tougher back then... the conference now has become a joke, especially compared to the Western conference.

Lebron didn't make anybody else any better... that's why he made one finals and got killed and other then that couldn't even get to the conference championship lately.....  he's an excellent player, but he'll NEVER be Michael Jordan or nearly as good as he was...

LeBron wasn't surrounded by crap in Cleveland. I say a team that has a player of his "caliber" should've won a championship with that roster. That's what great players are supposed to do. Elevate the games of those around them as well as stay loyal to the team that drafted them. The Cavs have had the best record the past two regular seasons, winning over SIXTY games each year.  The fact LeBron could be part of a team that won that many regular season games, yet get embarrassed in the playoffs infers that James is not a great player. He is a very good player, but he's no MJ, Kobe, Bird, Magic etc. (in no particular order, of course).  People will argue that plenty of players have left their original teams to pursue a championship elsewhere, citing Barkley, KG, Malone, Gary Payton, etc.  However, nearly all of these players have (voluntarily) joined championship-caliber teams near the end of their careers, sometimes with little or no gas left in the tank. LeBron joins D-Wade and Bosh not only at the age of 25 and at the peak of his career, but also at the peak of Wade & Bosh's careers.  To me, this shows cowardice and disloyalty on LeBron's part.  Great players have competitive, professional rivalries, they don't join forces while the rest of the league suffers.  You didn't see Magic joining Bird or The Mailman joining MJ.  You saw them battling it out on the court every postseason.  This is why I have to wholeheartedly agree with my man Chuck.

Loyality?:????????Shut up!!!

Shut up. Why would you attack another mans character. What does is DUI have to do with his right to freedom of speech? I bet you are a young cat. You young cats know nothing about loyality. Loyality means everthing thing in life. Lebron show no loyalty to his team. He is all about himself and has no concept of team members or family. You dont abandon your family for selfish reason and he did. He balled out on his brothers..And that is wrong..The young generation has lacks alot of character and so do you, you freaking Idot. I agree with Chuck..That was a Punk move and also a Bitch move..I hope they never win anything. They want.. I  with Charles, if you disagree with my comments..lets discuss it like men..or do you have concept of being a man..

Joining a team the way LEBRON did it was the problem that eveyone has , he should of just said miami, not through a 1 hr special , but just saying it and thats it.  that performance on stage with those three is disgusting ! this is basketball not a show , i hope they never win a playoff series let alone a championship!!!

And Barkley's opinion matters because????? How many rings does Charles have? Charles, the only opinion of yours I value is on drinking and driving, the difference between Krispy Kream and Dunkin Doughnuts, how to suck at gambling, and how to suck even more at golf. And, how to add nothing of value to the shitty TNT NBA basketball coverage. You know, what your good at.

C'mon dude the Cleveland not having enough talent is so lame.  The team won more than 60 games back to back seasons despite shaking up the roster, while trying to please the ego maniac that had already made plans to leave.  Lebron needed a real star that has been about team in Dwayne Wade to shoulder the load of being a leader so he can go do SNL and have people tell him how great he is.  He isn't a winner, he is a talented self loving, bad advice taking side show; and he should be thanking Dwayne Wade and his fellow follower for taking all the pressure off of him.  Cause lets face it in the play-offs he couldn't take it when it mattered.

Brakley is right on the money and many, many smart NBA people agree with him when he says that what the LBJ did when he held that one hour farce, LBJ acted like a punk. When he went down to South Beach and danced like a fool with Wade and Bosh, he was acting like a punk. You got to love how Barkley ended his statement too by saying LBJ knows where to find me, I am on T.V. every week. You have got to love that he gave LBJ what he deserved. Comparing Barkley getting traded late in his career to what LBJ did is just plain stupid. No player in the history of the NBA went on National T.V. for one hour to announce how he screwed the team he grew up with, NOBODY. LBJ is living in his own world and still doesn't get it. To compare this guy to Jordan is ludicrous. Jordan would never have done what LBJ did and said so. Also, I have seen this compared to what the Celtics big 3 did and why aren't they getting the same heat that the public is giving LBJ, well, I do not remember the Celtic big 3 getting on stage and acting like a bunch pf punks. If LBJ would have just handled it like any other NBA player, ESPECIALLY because he was the reigning MVP, he should have just stayed in the background, let his agent handle it and quietly let this happen and come out like a man and just say this was what he thought was best for him and his career in a little more humble manner, he would not be getting all the heat is getting now and Barkley nailed it in his statments. I was not a huge Barkley fan before this, but, I LOVE that guy now....WAY TO GO SIR CHARLES!!

amazingly.... me too. Kobe is on my list of 3 people to fire on a rocket into the sun, but he wouldn't do this. for all the attention he does beg for, he wouldn't do this. it makes kome look old school and respectful of the game compared to what lebron just did.

dance parties and one-hour specials ... dance in private if you're happy. be happy if you want. but barkley is right and "punk" describes it perfectly.

Charles Barkley rips Miami's Big 3

Is this from the same Charles Barkley that joined the Houston Rockets at the end of his career trying to win a ring?  Did he call up Karl Malone and say you can't join the Lakers.  You should stay with the Jazz. You do know that he was traded, the Rockets gave up four quality players to get him and Houston was just seven games better than Phoenix when that deal was made, right? The situations are completely different.
