We don't really have an official ruling on anything in the NBA until Charles Barkley speaks on it. So after LeBron's tweet about his mental hit list and all the talk coming from Miami, Chuck weighed in on ESPN Radio 103.3 with Galloway and Company.

"I heard about LeBron's little tweet today that he's remembering everybody who said anything bad about him," Barkley said. "And he said 'everybody.' Well, I want him to make sure that he puts my name on that (list) ... I thought that his little one-hour special was a punk move. I thought them dancing around on the stage was a punk move, and I thought he should've stayed in Cleveland. Him joining Dwyane Wade 's team was very disappointing to me."

See, that's why everyone loves Chuck. He tells it like it is, or at least, how he sees how it is. Barkley continued:

"He's got enough people kissing his ass with his family and all the people who work for him," Barkley said. "We don't have to tell him what he wants to hear all the time ... That one-hour special, them jumping around on stage like punks, that wasn't cool to me. From a basketball standpoint, I wish he had stayed in Cleveland, and if he takes that as criticism, so be it."

It's hard to disagree with anything there. Everything turned quickly into a spectacle which only made the new trio in Miami that much easier to dislike. And it doesn't sound as if Chuck is exactly terrified about landing on LeBron's mental list of death. As he put it towards the end of the interview, "He knows where I'll be, I don't run. I'm on TV every week, I'm easy to find."

Exactly! He was younger when he did it meaning in his prime. Nothing like Barkley or Malone or Drexler. Those guys were at the end of there career and wanted one more shot at a winner. Lebron on the other hand is the exact opposite, none of those guys would have abandoned there team in there prime when they had the best shot at winning a title. They did it the right way waiting until they had little left to offer there home team, before parting ways in a RESPECTABLE manner. Unlike Lebron James now the biggest sissy in the league who will never be thought of again in the same catagory as Michael Jordan or Kobe Bryant. The two best players ever to pick up a rock! But luck to him playing second fiddle on Dwayne Wade's team.

Aren't we supposed to cheer the professional athletes who want to win, over wanting the most money?

Lebron got the most money as well. It's not like he gave up money to win a ring hes still getting paid with the highest contract in the NBA

KG was never on a team where management DID anything to help him out, so he got tired of it.  Not the same. AT ALL.

How in the world is Lebron in his prime and two future HOF veterans going into their last year and going a squad they think has a legitimate shot at winning the same thing? It's not.

i respectivly disagree with you. i understand why people are upset with lebron, but in my opinion, he should be applauded for sticking out his contract to the end with the cavs. how many athletes start complaining about contracts and more money even when they have a few years left on their contract. he was not obligated to stay with cleveland. he fullfilled his contract. they had 7 yrs to build a team around him. he stayed his course and wanted to leave, i don't agree with his method of doing it, but it was his choice.

"But joining with Wade & Bosh wasn't anything more than Barkley or Malone...he was just younger when he did it"

That's what makes it such a "punk" move as Barkley said it. Is Shaq a punk for joing the C's this year in hopes of winning a ring? No! He knows he's got 2 years top left in the tank and wants to win. Lebron has years and years and years of being the best player in the league ahead of him and he bitched out by joining the Heat. That's the point he's making.

I have no problem with James going to Miami and I really can't see why anybody but Cleveland fans would have a problem with it, but the way he went about it was my problem. His unbelievably stupid one hr. special was so retarded it was pathetic. ESPN should have been ashamed to be a part of that spectical of self promotion. The man was a free agent and had the right to anywhere he wanted, but he really should have thought things thru before he announced it the way he did. He will always be hated for that now and will never be the icon he once thought he was.

You really think this is the same as what Charles did? He spent his whole career trying to be a leader of a team which is what a true competetor would do. Unfortunately a championship fell short for him. First in Phila then in Phoenix. He ran into a little trouble by the name of the Bulls in their prime era. Only at the very end when time was running out did he get TRADED to Houston. This wasnt a spectacle of a free agent deciding he's going to go to the easiest way possible. Get your facts straight.

Everybody does not love Chuck!

I live in Miami and although the Heat won free agency, hasn't won anything else...yet. But to call them "punks?" First of all, the Mia Big 3 didn't organize the event or choose the music or dance. They were shown appreciation by the Miami Heat organization. To call them punks is to call Pat Riley and the entire organization punks. Pat Riley is no punk. See his 6 NBA Championship rings! Unlike fat boy who whined his way out of Philly and Phoenix to chase a ring that he never got while under his current contract.

These young men fullfilled their contractural obligation, took less money (although its still a boatload) and are thinking, "How can we create an dynasty together?"

What they didn't do is focus on "how can I be the man" on a team that goes nowhere.

Again see fat boy's resume.

I love the revisionists history of many retired players, who only seem to remember what they want. Lucky for us, history reminds us of who they were and are. The real punks.
