Washington Wizards point guard John Wall does "The Dougie" dance prior to his team's home opener against the Philadelphia 76ers. Posted by Ben Golliver Before the Washington Wizards home opener against the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday night, rookie point guard John Wall did a spirited, extended version of "The Dougie" during player introductions, much to the enjoyment of his teammates and the announcing crew. "Once he gets over his shyness, he's going to be something else," joked Steve Buckhantz, Washington's television play-by-play announcer, as Wall joined his teammates for a pre-game huddle. "He's so reserved," cracked Phil Chenier, Washington's television analyst. Wall, the No.1 overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft, is no stranger to recognition for his boogying abilities. He made headlines last fall for the "John Wall Dance" during his only season at the University of Kentucky. The "Dougie" dance was popularized by hip hop group Cali Swag District's hit single "Teach Me How To Dougie ."

it's all for entertainment which is what too many people forget. I have no issue with players having fun like that in whatever sport you play...as long as you bring it when you're in the game. I think it's pretty stupid to fine players for celebrating

A huge percentage of NBA players would be dead or in jail without their GOD given talents.  No exception here!!

John Wall dances the Dougie during introductions

I already liked John Wall and thought he was exactly the kind of hard working and strong character guy the Wizards needed.  Now that I've seem him to the Dougie I like him even more.  He even busts out some of the Indian dance moves from the end of the Cali Swag video!

John Wall do your thing and shake all the them haters off...you were the #1 pick in the draft...enough said.  At least he is not doing Terrell Owens or Cah Ochocinco Dances...lol.  The boy has some moves on him...now lets go win a few games and use those moves on the basketball court to win NBA Rookie of the Year...Mr. Smooth.  He should of came out Pop Locking and that would of just broke them all down.

Wow really? By the Texans logo as your avatar, I can tell that your an NFL fan..so doing the dougie during an intro for your first game at home as a rookie makes you a tool? The NFL is known for more immature celebrations than anyone. Seriously how about Terell owens running up to the Cowboys star? How about Ocho Cinco doing the fucking river dance? hahhahaha be serious
