There goes Joakim Noah talking about KG

It was only a matter of time before it happened. Honestly, I can't believe it took this long.

Joakim Noah isn't shy with his words and he isn't shy about talking about who he likes and doesn't. It's completely refreshing in an era where guys play with each other in AAU and come in to the league buddies. Noah isn't about any of that. He's about business on the basketball court and he's not holding anything back off it. So when it came to Kevin Garnett, Noah had some thoughts.

“Kevin Garnett will not — will not — get a Christmas gift from me,” Noah said with a tinge of humor Wednesday on “The Waddle & Silvy Show” on ESPN 1000. “I don’t like him….”

“He’s a very mean guy,” Noah said Wednesday. “Where’s the love? None at all. Ugly, too….”

“I had his poster in my room,” Noah said. “I used to wear his jersey. And the truth is my rookie year, I was in admiration of this guy, and he kind of shut me down.

“And he was very mean to me my rookie year. And he’s only mean to the young guys and the [European players], for some reason. I don’t know why, but that’s who he doesn’t like. He’s not nice. I talk a lot of trash out there, but c’mon, be a little sensitive. Be sweet.”

You hear that KG? Just be sweet man.

But here's what Noah called Garnett: Mean and ugly. Not a great combination. And I'm sure after the pounding Garnett has taken the past few weeks, he's not going to get any sweeter for Noah next time they meet.

Probably the ugliest guy in the NBA, possibly in the world is calling KG who in my mind is a normal looking good (no homo) ugly? Wow is all I can say.

So basically Royce young is a pos garbae time writer.

Reading this drivel you would assume that Noah needed to grow up and quit being an idiot. Which until reading this pos, I never thought that way about the guy. After reading other comments saying it was basically all in jest, I watched the interview myself and can safely say the guy who wrote this pos article would be fired if he worked for me.

just had to point this out: I've been hearing and reading people (yourself included) use oxymoronic statements when calling out bigots et al.

When a person says "everyone" followed by a slander...even if the point is to call out "others" as slanderous...when grouping others together in the "everyone" envelope, that person is using a generalization...which is a stereotype...and is an example of the same bad behavior as you are trying to call out.

Do everyone one a favor: don't use the "Everyone from xyz zipcode is...." statements.  You come across as a bigot.

CBS dbags

I'm officially dumber for having read the first page of comments.  I can only imagine how frustrating it would be to continue.

Joakim Noah calls Kevin Garnett (or any other NBA player) ugly?

Here's a news flash to Joakim: Nobody is going to confuse you with a younger version of Denzel Washington.

"that man looks like a monkey"

Just another reason to think that everyone in the Northeast is a bigot or an idiot, or in your case, both.

First of, Jokin' Joakim, YOU ARE THE UGLIEST person and not just in the NBA but in any arena on any given night where ever it is you are playing. I am not kidding. It's a good thing you make a boat load of money cause for you hookers would definitely raise the price on you for sure!~ I am  a Knicks fan so I have no allegiance to either of these to grade a class morons. Yes I do believe that KG is a little dirty when he plays and the trash talking gets worse if he doesn't like you for whatever reason.  Now Joakim isn't the cleanest player either and he talks smack just as good as anyone in the league so this is a pot and kettle thing all the way. Theres just one difference between the two, make that two.  KG is older thus giving him a little more respect, and leniency and as a veteran has the hall of fame numbers to back it all up! Joakim is still a young veteran with good numbers and a bright future,I just hope he loses his voice!  Oh and that second thing I forgot to mention is that big ass ring on KG's finger that any and all NBA players would drop their  wives for just to get one! One more thing, there both ugly as all hell!

He's mean??? WWhat is this guy a 12 yr old school girl???

See, here's what's wrong with this article - people who didn't get a chance to listen to the interview would reach this conclusion based on the article.  Noah was laughing - all the reporters were laughing.  He wasn't whining, he was having fun.  It was funny, too.  You really should listen to it if you get the chance.
