Miami Heat forward LeBron James bumps Heat coach Erik Spoelstra as he walked to the bench during a timeout. Posted by Ben Golliver It's a white hot mess down in Miami, as Royce Young noted the Heat called a post-game players-only meeting after a Saturday night loss to the Dallas Mavericks. Before that meeting, During the third quarter of Miami's loss to Dallas, a light, perhaps unintentional, physical confrontation occurred between Miami Heat forward LeBron James and embattled coach Erik Spoelstra.  As James walked back to the team's bench during a stoppage of play, Spoelstra moved toward the key, as coaches often do, to discuss strategy and give the players some space on the bench. As the two walked in opposite directions, neither veered off course, and James's right shoulder contacted Spoelstra's right shoulder, causing the much smaller Spoelstra to retract at the force of the bump.  Here's slow-motion video of the bump, courtesy of YouTube user ludeape. In this second version of the clip you can see both men are clearly in each other's sights for multiple paces prior to the confrontation.  Sometimes symbolism is so obvious it doesn't need to be explained. This is one of those cases, but I'll explain it anyway: Two men, two different directions, one unavoidable conflict.

In slow motion, you can CLEARLY tell that LeBron did it intentionaly. He leaned in and lifted his arm after the bump; Clearly obvious.

I got news for The Heat: Even the egomaniac Pat Reily won't get this team past the Celtics and Magic. Period.

My solution? Lets get Delonte West on the phone. Maybe he'll give that teet back to LeBron to suck on so he'll stop all that crying.

Maybe not.

Ummmm ... That looked pretty intentional to me.  LBJ is still just a kid in a man's body. His actions over the last several months have done nothing to help his cause. I'm gld they are terrible. Lakers will just have to have ANOTHER epic battle with the Celtics in the finals this year. GO LAKERS!

The Heat owners didn't learn from Daniel Snyder in the NFL.  You cannot buy chemistry.  You can throw as much money at a problem as you wish but that isn't going to make the team better.  The team would have been much better off without all the egos.

LeBron is a punk . . . always has been.  The guy has no clue whatsoever.  He gives up #23 this season to pay homage to Michael Jordan, not even realizing that #6 belongs to Bill Russell, in many ways more of an icon that Jordan.  I guess you can blame it on youth . . . to a point.  Somewhere along the line you just gotta admit that he's a punk.  Good luck Miami . . .

So let me guess, the Celtics were complete gentlemen because their team was primarily white, and these "hoodlums" are called as such because they're black?   Let me guess, you're also a hockey fan, a "sport" where
being a "hoodlum" is all part of the game, in fact, they're not called hoodlums, they're called "goons."  Fighting is accepted in hockey.  I wonder why that is?

Ownership created the league they have.  They're making tons of money off the backs of young, urban kids which is all they care about: making money.

If these prima dona hoodlums as you call them were banned from the game, you'd get rec league basketball, which wouldn't make one thin dime.

Wake up my man.  and turn in your tea party membership card.

Miami is my team and has always been... dywane wade is awesome although not playing well this year so far but after watchiing lebron's lack of effort defensively and forcing bad shots and passes i really hope apt riley finds the balls to trade him for carmelo anthony.

The inmates are in control of the asylum!

These hoodlums have no respect for themselves, the game, or others. This is why I have very little interest in pro sports anymore. Till ownership takes back control of the situation they will get run over. These prima donnas should be banned from the game. If you have no checks on your behavior, you will not change. No one has ever told these athletes no! One monkey doesn't stop the show, doesn't owners realize that. There will always be someone with decent behavior to take their place. Till owners call their bluff and lock them out things will not change!

I was always a Celtics fan, they ran a real classy organization. Then the "Bad Boys" and the Knicks came on and started this rowdy disrespect of the game. Ever since then it has been downhill on player behavior in the NBA.
