LeBron James of the Miami Heat sprained his left ankle during the fourth quarter of Wednesday night's game against the Los Angeles Clippers, but X-rays were negative. Posted by Ben Golliver.

Midway through the fourth quarter of Wednesday night's game between the Miami Heat and the Los Angeles Clippers, Heat forward LeBron James sprained his ankle while driving to the basket.

The injury occurred as James drove past Clippers forward Al-Farouq Aminu. Clippers guard Baron Davis dove down to offer help defense, and James' left ankle rolled over as he appeared to plant on Davis' right foot. James lost control of the ball and went hopping on one foot deep into the stands, but then recovered to come hobbling back on the court. He promptly received the ball, and with the shot clock running down, hit a corner three over Aminu off of one foot.

After making the shot, which cut Los Angeles's lead to 94-92, James hopped to the bench and was attended to by Heat trainers. He re-entered the game and played down the stretch, although he limped at times.

After the game, the Los Angeles Times reported that "LeBron said he has an x-ray of his ankle and there was no damage." The paper also quoted James saying that he is "day to day." The Heat play the Nuggets in Denver on Thursday night on the second half of a road back-to-back.
Here's video of the injury.

The Clippers held on for a 111-105 win. James finished with 27 points, eight rebounds and six assists in 40 minutes of action.

I don't have a clue what this crap is about Karma, but all I know is that greed has taken over so greatly in Professional sports, THAT I DON'T GIVE A DAMN IF THE NBA FOLDS AND ALL THESE GREEDY BASTARDS ALL LOSS THEIR JOBS. THEIR ALL SO COCKY ON AND OFF THE COURT. Who in their right mind would pay 100 million dollars for someone to play basketball. Is society gone crazy? Are todays athletes the most pampers people in the world? In my opinion they are. Man, these athletes can jump and dunk a ball through a hoop. Man are they talented..(like a horses rear end). wake up people. Don't put these athletes on a throne. As for LoBron James nickname "King James", what a piece of crap. He's no king. He's no role model for any of the kids. Just because he is bigger and stronger on a basketball court doesn't make him any better then anyone else. Like it says on the 1 dollar bill..IN GOD WE TRUST...Not in Lobron we trust. It will never happen.

i hope the cavaliers put out a tweet..that youre a twit..when carmelo and cp3 go to knicks, do you think you can beat them with an aged wade...by end of season he'll need a cane..and bosh..who'll foil out against a man like stoudemire...i'm not even a big basketball fan..but i would take that big 3 over lebrons..and felton blows away any heat guard..knicks will get him for gallinari and junk..aand still have chandler..because he wont go anywhere else..they can take nothing.or give him to knicks for picks and cash..might let him go after season..but knicks will be better with that scenario..and all the salary cap people,,the heat are 22 million over the cap, and pay a 22 million luxury tax to league..its dollar for dollar..so it WILL happen

Hey Queen Lebronica, karma is a bitch, huh?  Apparently it also has a terrific sense of humor and irony.  Hope you roll out of bed in the morning and just break the damn thing.

Not sure karma and injury go hand in hand.  And seeing as it is day-to-day; likely Lebron will be back on the court in no time.

Griffin is just plain impressive.  Wow.

Miami can't win them all but I'm thinking if I were in Lebron, I'd much rather be in Miami than Cleveland, Ohio.  And that is what Karma is all about.

Hey Guys, this Clippers team is actually pretty good. I think it comes down to matchups. CLippers are very stong up front with Griffin as that guys a beast. Thats why it caused problems for Wade and Lebron for them driving in the lane. Also Baron broke down their defense. Sometimes the standings mean nothing and if matchups pose a problem, your done. Miami will have problems with teams big in the middle. They pretty much have no chance at those type of teams... especially in the playoffs. Also majority of the points come from the three. I see that as a team weakness. Get it "Team weakness" but individual strength.

Heat have MORE than 3

Why do you think they've been winning?

Their whole team is filled with solid contributing veterans that fit into the puzzle nicely. If one of the big three were to go down indefinitely, they would eventually adapt and fit into the appearance of a more standard-style NBA roster.

The Heat's strength at role player positions is that they have several at each position. It becomes a nice rotation and if Haslem comes back come playoff time, it'll just be another body to eat space, play defense, and grab boards.

The PG play from Arroyo and Chalmers has been better than expected on the offensive side. Arroyo has been making his jumpshots and Chalmers can the triple.

The C position has been a rotation of Zydrunas, who only nails every jump shot he takes, Joel Anthony who's playing good D, and Dampier who's giving quality minutes putting up big man bench numbers.

The Heat will be fine with only 2 superstars and there's nothing wrong with any of them anyway, so this is all a waste of your time.

The Heat have their legitimate challengers ahead of them, no doubt. But they're a Top 3 team in the NBA right now (or already). Yeah, you can panic now.
