UPDATE: LeBron has been ruled out for tonight's game. Brian Windhorst tweeted that if this were the playoffs, he'd play but will sit because it's just January.

LeBron James has missed one game already with a sprained left ankle and it's looking like he'll miss another.

LeBron didn't partake in the Heat's shootaround this morning and coach Erik Spoelstra listed him as "doubtful," although there's still a chance he could go.

We saw what happened to the Heat without LeBron as the Nuggets completely blasted Miami Thursday. There may have been more to it other than just missing James though as that game came as the second of a back-to-back in which the Heat had a good long flight from Los Angeles to Denver. So they may have been worn out as well as missing their best player.

Reserve James Jones started in LeBron's place last time so it'd be assumed that would be the case again tonight if LeBron can't go.

I almost forgot. As far as Kobe playing through injuries its a win win situation. If he plays poorly then he's brave for fighting through the injury. If he plays well then he's a God for doing so. Playing with injuries is selfish! Maybe Lebron being worried about his stats is another way of being worried he won't be able to contribute! Either way, you guys are high if you think he would'nt rather be playing than just sitting there watching his team lose! Another reason I think none of you have ever played a high level in any sport.

You guys are f***ed! Lebron is nothing short of pure talent not to mention he fills arenas all around the league! As far as being a punk, who isn't? The league is built on it! As far as the injury, who knows but it's never occured to you guys injuries in sport do happen? You guys should be grateful for "Lepunk" cause he gives you want to be athletes something to bond with!

Back to back games most certainly do effect teams so it is a legit reason for getting blown out in Denver not to mention the altitude with a shorter bench cause major problems for the Heat.  Altitude does effect cardio and with fewer talented players to pull from it did effect the Heat.  People can hate all they want on Lebron he is still a great player, he is an ass but a great player.  As for the Heat they don't have depth but the chemistry is there with the starters that is why they have the best record in the East after a slow start.

"A good long flight from Los Angeles to Denver." You may want to pull out your atlas and see where Denver and LA are. It's a two hour flight. The only way it's a long flight is if all the Heat players take turn flying the plane.

Are you kidding me? Back to back games and a "long" flight from L.A to Denver? Are you kidding me? How come I don't hear this type of excusses from other teams if they go through the same thing? Royce Young, I take it you must be a big Heat/LeBron fan to come up with that lame excuse, sounds just like LeBron. To you and LeBron, all I have to say is, Karma is a bitch. Go Bulls !!!!
