Kevin Durant talks about calling out Chris Bosh

In an interview with Complex Magazine, Kevin Durant talked a little about calling Chris Bosh a "fake tough guy." Durant didn't back off his comments, but admitted that maybe he overreacted a bit.
You know, I let it get to me a little bit. I’m not the type of person that lets stuff like that get to me. Maybe I shouldn’t have said it, but it is what it is. It’s over, I gotta live with it, it’s something I can’t change. So I stand behind it. Don’t get it confused, I respect him as a player and everything like that, but I’m just standing up for myself and my team.
I think that’s absolutely the right approach. As someone standing there when he said it, it was very obvious at the time that KD was frustrated with the loss. He was a bit more emotional than usual. We’re talking about a guy that HATES to lose, and his team just dropped a really big game on national TV at home. He was bummed.

And honest. That's one of my very favorite things about Durant. He's never saying what you think is the right thing. He's laying out his true feelings.

After the game, the Bosh incident was fresh on his mind. I think KD is acknowledging that maybe he let his emotions get the best of him with his comments, but he’s not pulling a LeBron and backing off. He’s not saying he didn’t know what “fake tough guy” meant. He’s standing behind what he said while also understanding he may have been a bit rash in saying it.

I think that shows off KD’s maturation a lot. Remember, the dude’s only 22 years old. He’s still totally a kid. But the best part about him, is that he really never acts that way.

Bosh is a doucebag.  On most NBA rosters, guys play certain roles on their teams.  I respect Rondo but without the other 3 guys, he would not be what he is.  It's just a fact.  He is a perfect compliment.  Wade only won a championship when he was playing with a Shaq much closer to his prime.  Bosh scored a lot for Toronto to no avail.  He could never carry a team much of anywhere.  Really, few players can, they need role players.  Bosh might have been on the stage with LBJ and Wade but he is a role player.  And he's not a tough guy out there.  Heck, LBJ would get better support from Anderson Verajao I suspect.  He and Wade would have more shots they could take.  Whoops, my bad...LBJ is taking all the shots he wants.  Funny how he is stealing Wade's team from him.

Good, some one should call him out. it sucks that the media is all over the heat but come on man. when you play against and allstar team and loss you get mad.because if they weren't on the same team KD know's he would wax bosh. that's why he said that because he's a real player.but the media want's beef please, he's a good kid leave him alone. ask the ref's why they give the heat all the call on the road.hun,hun,hummm. do a story on how many calls the heat get on the road.

So what Royce Young is saying is that KD is already more mature and media savvy than LeBron is after 7+ years in the NBA.  Maybe its easier and quicker for KD to be cool since he doesn't have roids coursing through his system since age 14.  Just saying.
