Cavs announcer: Chris Bosh is 'Rupaul look-alike'

Clevelad Cavaliers color commentator Austin Carr calls Miami Heat forward Chris Bosh a "Rupaul look-alike." Posted by Ben Golliver.

This is not the most enlightened thing you'll read today.

You knew there would be fireworks when the Miami Heat visited the Cleveland Cavaliers for the second time since LeBron James fled Ohio for Florida last summer. The resentment is still burning in Cleveland, and understandably so.

The night began with James ducking out on the boos during player introductions and first-half play was filled with hard fouls galore.

But the ugliest moment, without question, came when Cavaliers color commentator Austin Carr referred to Heat forward Chris Bosh as a "Rupaul look-alike." Rupaul, of course, is a relatively well-known drag queen. To make matters worse, Carr's comment came after a reference to the television show "Two and a Half Men." The implication being ... well ... uh ... ?

Here's video of the exchange.

Mocking Chris Bosh is fun.  This is how it's done. The Rupaul thing? Not so much.

As a Heat fan -- and season ticket holder since 2004 -- I don't mind the classless comment. Cleveland needs to demonize LeBron to get through the next few years of cellar dwelling in the NBA. This isn't tongue in cheek. I'm serious. If Miami had to lose one game this week against four of the worst teams in the NBA I'm glad it was Cleveland. They deserve it. They need it.

I don't get the hatin' on Cleveland. Detroit -- where houses now go for less than the price of econo cars and the population has plunged 15% over the past decade -- I get. Cleveland? It's not a bad town at all. I fly in every 2-3 years on the way to Cedar Point for a coaster fix (something we don't have in South Florida) and the people of Ohio rock. The waterfront area with the R&R Hall of Fame, Science Museum and Browns stadium is pretty darn scenic.

I think Dan Gilbert is classless, but I have nothing against Cleveland fans -- especially those who go to the games when LeBron isn't in town.

Rag on the Heat and their player all you want, but to start going after guys for how they look is pretty weak.  Who cares if someone looks a little different?  Rag on their play and performance.

What do you all know about the constitutional right about freedom of speech? Wait, I will get one self proclaimed ivy league grad saying he studied it or some bs. Anyways, all that right does is give minions something to hide behind and say l have the right to say it, where they should be saying "I'm a utter moron and dont have the nuts to say it to your face." Blog away hate nation!

Nah, I can take just a little bit more Heat-Cavs talk, especially when it is talk about James losing to the Cavs, him getting shut out of the garage before shootaround and and Bosh looking like a drag queen. I am not even a Cleveland fan and I love it when C-town gets the best of Le-whats his name again....

Yes, there is a thing called Freedom of Speech, but in some instances, you have to be professional with some jobs, such as:  commentators, politicians, etc. I am NOT  a Miami fan, not a Cleveland fan. Bosh would probably be fined, if he turned around, and referred to the person that called him a RuPaul look-a-like something really ugly. There's a time and a place for that. And NO, Miami is not going far in the playoffs. They have (3) players, and that's it. No bench, no name coach, and they are in a weak division that makes them look like contenders. The SuperTeam will be dismantled next year. Watch!!

Here's a suggestion. Why doesn't everyone just shut the fuck up and appreciate the joke? Stop making such a big deal about stupid shit. (Oh I'm a Heat fan and my team has the big 3 and we're making the playoffs, the Cavs are just salty) Shut the fuck up. Is anyonle else tired of hearing about the Heat and Cavs? LeBron moved on a long time ago and you Heat fans got what you wanted so just everyone shut the fuck up about it. It's over with. Now with that out of the way, Chris Bosh does look alot like RuPaul LMAO!!!

Three things:

Freedom of Speech - Absolutely right!

Looking like RuPaul - He does so people in Miami, deal with it! In fact, on certain nights he even plays like he should be wearing a dress.

Cleveland versus Miami - People in Miami, you got your a$$es handed to you this time around. Be gracious losers and go home. Besides, you better get used to it cause your 'team of mercenaries' can't seem to beat anyone that matters so it will be a quick out for you in the playoffs.

It's called "freedom of speech" and every U.S citizen is entitled to it regardless of if you like or dislike. Besides, did you see the two photos? Not far off!

Come to Cleveland and say that.  Miami may be bigger, have better weather, and have LeBron james.  But, it is wholly revealing that you still feel the need to rip on us.  Bottomline, we won.

Sorry our city is failing.  What does it say about you as an American that you enjoy that?
