Boston Celtics coach Doc Rivers says Rajon Rondo and Delonte West will play in Game 4 following MRIs. Posted by Ben Golliver.

UPDATE: Rondo was given an X-ray, MRI and CT scan and all results were negative. He's being officially listed as questionable for Game 4.

During Saturday's Game 3 against the Miami Heat, Boston Celtics guards Rajon Rondo and Delonte West both went down with injury. For Rondo, it was a gruesome dislocated elbow  while West suffered a shoulder injury just before halftime.

Boston.com reports that both players underwent MRIs and that Celtics coach Doc Rivers expects both to be available to play in Monday night's Game 4, although he expressed a bit of apprehension regarding Rondo.
"Right now we're going with they're all playing," said Rivers, who was including Shaquille O'Neal. "Hopefully we'll know something by the end of our film session. Obviously (Rondo's elbow) was far more painful today, a lot of swelling."
"If he can't help our team (Rondo won't play)," the coach said. "And if he can play, how well can he play and will he help or hurt our team? No. 1, we're not going to hurt the player and we're not going to do anything to hurt the team. It may not be until game time and the game until we find that out. Right now, that may be the case. I am optimstic about both, that they're going to play."
Here's video of Rondo's gruesome injury which occurred after he got tangled up with Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade.

If both Rondo and West are unable to go, look for the Celtics to activate reserve point guard Carlos Arroyo, who played for the Heat earlier this season.

Rondo, West expected to play Game 4 after MRIs

Well I guess it depends on how someone wants to interpet it but I say Rondo helped cause the fall and that him locking his arm around Wades shows that he was just as much to blame for goi9ng down as Wade. LOOK AT THE LAST ANGLE IN THE CLIP. It shows Rondo locking his arm over Wades and shows Wades hand limp and free. Looks to me like Rondo was trying to get pulled down for the foul call.

You answered the question......Rondo's hand and/or arm was around Wade's hip, but this did not cause Wade to fall.  Typical Wade dramatics!  He was trying to draw a foul by falling.  I could careless which way a foul was called, I'm pointing out the obvious and that's that Wade fell on purpose with intent to pull Rondo down with him, maybe not to hurt him, but never the less, down to the floor.

Rondo, West expected to play Game 4 after MRIs

Well correct me if I'm wrong but after watching the replay in slow motion more than once now, it's clear to me that Rondo had ahold of Wades hip with his left hand while Wade started to fall then from the other angle Wade has ahold of Rondo with a hook that Rondo had locked in with his own arm.
From watching both angles it's clear that Rondo is just as much as fault as Wade. The last I check (holding) was a foul. Rondo should of been charged with the foul for his left hand holding on to Wade. The fall shouldn't have been called for anything other than a tangle up by both players. Well I hope Rondo heals fast and this becomes a great series to continue to watch. Just my 2 cents.

When did Rondo cheapshot anyone?  Please tell me.
Holy crap.  Are you kidding?!?  You must not watch basketball at all.  You might want to go ask Kirk Hinrich and Brad Miller.

I can not imagin the pain here... if he plays tonight, he wont be his usual self... but God bless him for trying. I will never forget Rondo for this act. He will go down in Celtic lore.

Rondo, West expected to play Game 4 after MRIs

First of all......the play wasn't an obvious dirty play, however it was.  If you watch that play evolve you'd see that Wade had no reason to fall down.  He went down on his own with the intention of taking Rondo with him out of frustration with losing the ball.  Call a spade a spade....Wade has something to prove in these playoffs against these Celtics....believe that!

Remember when Bosch punked Rondo and then KG leaned into Miller on a tough screen?  that was funny.

Rondo, West expected to play Game 4 after MRIs

Not sure whose gonna win the series, but no doubt in my mind who would win in the octagon. The studio gangster C's are getting there punk a's smacked all over the court by the Heat. Every physical confrontation between two players ends with a C getting punked. Bullies getting bullied. Nothing more poetic.

And tell Rondo the drag queen that he DISLOCATED the elbow playing dirty, he didnt BREAK it. He'll soon know the difference.
