Miami Heat forward LeBron James tweets that God said it's not his time to win an NBA title after losing the 2011 NBA Finals to the Dallas Mavericks. Posted by Ben Golliver.

Shortly after the Dallas Mavericks defeated the Miami Heat in the 2011 NBA Finals, Heat forward LeBron James took to Twitter to explain what happened.

"The Greater Man upstairs knows when it's my time," James tweeted. "Right now isn't the time."

James finished with 21 points, four rebounds, six assists and six turnovers in 40 minutes in Game 6, as the Mavericks closed out the Heat, 4-2.

James, 26, is now 0-for-2 in NBA Finals trips. He also lost in the 2007 NBA Finals to the San Antonio Spurs as a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers. His Finals averages: 17.8 points, 7.2 rebounds and 6.8 assists. For the postseason, James averaged 23.8 points, 8.6 rebounds and 5.9 assists.

This loss will largely be pinned on his shoulders. The Heat entered the Finals as heavy favorites, with three of the best four players in the series in James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. Nevertheless, Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki and a solid supporting cast that included Jason Terry, Shawn Marion and Jason Kidd pulled off the upset in stunning fashion, closing out the series in American Airlines Arena, Miami's homecourt.

LeBron James tweets: God says it's not my time

He should have tweeted "Dallas was the better team this time, great series Dallas"

But we're talking about LeBron, that's not going to happen

Lebron. I was blessed to given this day, I have my health and my knowledge. I may not have millions of dollars and I may not
have a huge mansion in which I can hide from the world when i make statements and promises that prove I am a punk.
Lebron, I don't get to go on TV and announce where I will take my talents, though I had to go to Trade School to acquire them, I did FINISH school.

I can get a job DONE, and know that I wanted to get that product SOLD with out USING OTHERS to get MY PART DONE.
At the End of my GOD given day, I do not get to go on tv LEBRON , and have millions of people wait for me to lose the greatest game of my TALENTS.
I get a hot plate of food I am grateful to receive, I get a hot bath and I get to watch YOU LOSE !!!

I want to take a moment and tell you that I said to God that I am going to tell YOU LEBRON that God doesn't give two donkey biscuits about you wining or losing...  It was the fact that you can't be humble and that you Used his name to excuse your lack of SKILLS aka HUMILITY.

Cleveland Ohio, Akron and all as well as the REST of the Country, wanted to see you fail partly because of your arrogance along with Chris Bosh and Dwayne * should have known better* Wade, to go and make a show out of you signing with Miami. Ok you were a free agent and had the right to go where you wished.
Now Son.... you must subtract 1 of those "8" rings years you have left.... God doesn't count how many championships you win...
We as children of God have the faith to know that it is the good works we do daily that makes us winners... in an every day Life...
Good Luck to you young man.... young silly man.

Uh, lebron, God also says "honor your adversaries and congratulate them on their achievement." Does this guy know anything about sportsmanship?

Wake up LeBron. Your basketball life is pretty far from being important to the average person, let alone whoever/whatever it is that you refer to as God. I am pretty sure that The Big Guy/Gal Upstairs isn't quite as concerned with athletics as professional athletes seem to think.

God didn't let you down, the Mavs defense and your overall play let you down.  Plain and simple the Mavs shut your "team" down and won the championship!!!!!

Dear LeBron:

If I existed, I wouldn't give a rat's ass about you or your silly game of bouncing and throwing a friggin' ball around.
