Miami Heat forward LeBron James tweets that God said it's not his time to win an NBA title after losing the 2011 NBA Finals to the Dallas Mavericks. Posted by Ben Golliver.

Shortly after the Dallas Mavericks defeated the Miami Heat in the 2011 NBA Finals, Heat forward LeBron James took to Twitter to explain what happened.

"The Greater Man upstairs knows when it's my time," James tweeted. "Right now isn't the time."

James finished with 21 points, four rebounds, six assists and six turnovers in 40 minutes in Game 6, as the Mavericks closed out the Heat, 4-2.

James, 26, is now 0-for-2 in NBA Finals trips. He also lost in the 2007 NBA Finals to the San Antonio Spurs as a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers. His Finals averages: 17.8 points, 7.2 rebounds and 6.8 assists. For the postseason, James averaged 23.8 points, 8.6 rebounds and 5.9 assists.

This loss will largely be pinned on his shoulders. The Heat entered the Finals as heavy favorites, with three of the best four players in the series in James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. Nevertheless, Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki and a solid supporting cast that included Jason Terry, Shawn Marion and Jason Kidd pulled off the upset in stunning fashion, closing out the series in American Airlines Arena, Miami's homecourt.

LeBron James tweets: God says it's not my time

LeBron:

God does not care whether or not you win a basketball game. Maybe you should learn something about Him and you would stop making such a silly statment....or calling yourself "The Chosen One."

I wonder how you and your buddies would have reacted if after practice Dirk was limping around holding his hip.

PS. I am getting on with my life and doing quite well today. Onth other hand, how do you feel today (and everyday) knowing your blew a chance at being one of America's, maybe the world's most beloved athletes?  That's got to sting every day.

Lebron will never be The Greatest Player ever.  For the soul reason that he's not clutch, he can't finish, and he doesn't remember how to score in the 4th quarter.  He is missing everything MJ had.  MJ would put a team on his back in the finals, because he wasn't going to lose.  Lebron has to give the ball away in the 4th, because he can't finish.

Now, I'm not a Heat fan nor a Lebron fan nor hater... but seriously people.... TV commentators were saying that Dallas was a team of "destiny" and Lebron saying that it wasn't in God's plan to win is basically saying the exact same thing!  Stupid Jason Terry gets a tattoo of the championship trophy on his arm before the series even begins, and the Heat team gets lambasted for celebrating too early?  It's simply ridiculous.  Lebron could say he loves children and people would say he's a pedophile.  It's insane how much hate is going on.

God ?

After a long and fruitful life Peyton Manning passed away , and after he got into heaven God took him to his new house a nice blue and white ranch house with  a colts decal in the window  and as Peyton was walking around the side he saw at the end of the road a Big , Red White and Blue mansion  with Patriot logos in the windows and a Huge Patriots flag by the Pool .. well Peyton was a little taken back and he couldn't understand why God would give Tom Brady a huge mansion and hima ranch house  , well when he worked up the nerve he asked God why this was so after all he had many mvp trophys and a super bowl mvp also  , and God replied oh you don't understand Peyton That's not Tom Brady's House  That is MY House!!!!!  Heard that from a Pat's fan and  hearing Lebron bull$hit comment made me remember it      LMAO
