Kobe Bryant apparently attended church at St. Therese at Carmel in Carmel Valley on Sunday. At one point, he apparently thought a man was snapping photos of him on his cellphone. And that's where things get hazy. From 10News in San Diego:
Sources told 10News Bryant was attending a church service at St. Therese of Carmel in Carmel Valley Sunday and thought someone was taking pictures of him with a cellphone.

According to police, Bryant took the phone from the man, did not see any pictures and then left the church.

The man claims he injured his wrist in the incident and had to go to the hospital for treatment.

Already, the claims of the man just looking for money are out there, but the police being involved is a little bit higher of a concern, as is the fact that sources beyond the injured man are cited in the report. This could very well be the last we hear of the incident if police conclude there's nothing to it. If it does continue though, it could be a headache for Bryant.

Because, you know, he really hasn't had enough trouble in the past fourteen years.

Here's a question. Doesn't Bryant have protection, in terms of bodyguards? Wouldn't they be the best to take care of this situation? Is there a reason Bryant himself is confronting anyone, if the allegations are true?

Well, it's Kobe. So that means the comments should alternate with premature defense and attacks on his character over an uncomfirmed incident.

It wasn't meant to be funny.  I just speak the truth.  Does my comment offend you?  Sorry I should've said does the truth offend you?
I remember those comebacks.  From the fifth grade.

Report: Bryant allegedly injures man in church

I am sure that Gloria Allred has not heard of this incident as of yet. I am equally surprised that she is not on the job of defending this clown his wrist injury. Gloria where are you when you are needed? This guy would need representing against Kobe’s high powered attorneys

There should be some places where you might go without being a celebrity. When you attend church one would think this would be such a place.

I have never known Kobe not to take a picture or sign autographs for those asking for one. I am sure that had the man asked after the services Kobe might have taken a close up with the guy and even might autograph an item for the guy.

The downside to him doing such would,  how much of a ruckus would it cause at a place of worship? I don’t think anyone go to church to sign autographs nor have their picture taken

When is it inappropriate to take a picture or ask someone for an autograph? I think someone at a house of worship would be such a place.

Was Kobe right in doing what he did?  Legally perhaps not

I can remember Magic Johnson attending church in Los Angeles. I can not remember anyone asking for an autograph before, after and certainly not during services. Of course at that time we only h ad beepers which were not capable of taking pictures.

I suppose things have changed and people either no longer have respect of other’s privacy or feel entitled.

I once saw Dr J at the Clinton Library in Little Rock. He was with a lot of children and was speaking of something with them. I chose not to ask for his autograph because he appeared to be busy with the children. Nor did I take a photo of him without his permission. He is one of the athletes I really want an autograph of and a photo, however, I did not think that was the proper place as he was in a teaching moment.

Report: Bryant allegedly injures man in church

I love it when you people call everybody a "gold digger" that sues athletes but when an athlete on your favourite team who has sometimes made 30 or 40 or 50 million dollar holds out for more and/or demands to be trades and spits in your face most of you blame the team for not giving him whatever he wants. How does that make any sense?

Apparently you haven't lived in the real world very long. Frivolous lawsuits such as these drive up the prices for everyone. Taxes, attorney fees, insurance, medical costs and even product prices are effected by these idiots. How is there any correlation between an athlete holding out for more money and a dishonest citizen making a fraudulent claims in regards to an imaginary injury? The two couldn't be further apart. The rest of your rant can pretty much be chalked up to a bitter pitty party you're throwing for yourself. Don't like their paychecks? Don't watch them on tv, don't attend their games, don't purchase their jersey, hat, picture or autograph. Otherwise, you're just a whiny hypocrite.

Lifelong Celtic fan here.  I'm the calling BS on this.  I hate this type of sports reporting.  And I have a feeling this guy may of been in the wrong, not Kobe.

The guy consented to the sex, but Kobe Bryant forced him to take it in the bunghole....oh wait, that's a different Kobe story.  Maybe Kobe will have another press conference where he acts really mad.  The last one was hilarious because he was huffing and puffing and trying so hard to look angry at himself.  Really he was just mad at the slutty pig that told the cops that he made her take it in the poopshoot.  Either way, Kobe has championship rings, so he's a better person than me.  More power to you Kobe.
