Arenas tweets, then doesn't, on Crittenton

If you missed it, Javaris Crittenton is tied up in a pretty awful situation right now. He was arrested Friday night for allegedly shooting and killing a mother in a drive-by in Atlanta.

Crittenton of course made a name for himself in the NBA in two very bad ways: He was a first-round bust and he brought a gun into a locker room. The other player in the gun situation was Gilbert Arenas, who put out a simple tweet in regards to the Crittenton news. (Via Jose3030):

Arenas quickly deleted the tweet, probably for smart reasons. Hard to really know what Arenas meant by that tweet, so I'll just leave it alone. Draw your own conclusions there, I suppose.

As the Washington Post notes, Crittenton attempted a comeback with the Charlotte Bobcats and seemed to have his head on straight and his act together. He said then, "Use wisdom in everything and just don’t get caught up in foolishness and nonsense and crazy people around you ... It was a bad decision on both ends and we’re trying to move forward with our careers and our lives.”

For shame. There's still a lot of information to process and nothing is set in stone, but it's not looking good for Crittenton. And even worse, it looks like he may not have learned his lesson.

I can only guess that University of Arizona alums everywhere cringe and grimmace every time Agent Zero IQ feels the need to crawl back into the public eye.  The moral of the Wizards saga - BOTH of these guys are sacks of human excrement, not just Crittenton.  Chances are pretty good that Gilbert will serve time in prison at some point during his miserable existence.

Agreed, for some reason these athletes think people want to hear their opinions...... which we do not. Pass the ball, dribble the ball, shoot the ball, and stfu.

This is something that you would think Gilbert Arenas would have wanted to stay mile and miles away from, there was no need for him to comment/tweet or anything else.  Everyone who heard the story would remember the incident between Gilbert and Crittenton.  So there was no need for Gilbert to add anything to this tradgedy.

Arenas should have had a flashback on how this person almost cost him his career, and felt thankful that he is still in the league earning a paycheck and let the public think what they want about Crittenton, who obviously did not learn anything from his blowup with Arenas.

Sometimes silence is GOLDEN.

god gives us all common sense? what are you 8 years old? thats the most simplistic garbage i've ever read. some people have common sense and some don't. there isn't a magical god up in the sky giving everyone common sense. some people are stupid and some are smart. its called a combination of genetics and education.

I get it Arenas.
You feel the need to bolster your dwindling fame, but this fame whoring has to stop.
A woman is dead and all you can do is fame whore it up.
That is truly sickening.

once again the point of quote is missing. 4 example l moved from big city to small mountain city. I had  the same thinking that these country  rednecks with no teeth were not smart. After 13 yrs living here I realize that l was dead wrong. Just because some 1 talks and looks different  doesnt mean they are less smart. Just because they dont use big words and look like college professors doesnt mean they lack intelligence. God gives us all common sense, its up to us to use this gift. I do agree agent 0 has no reason to comment. But im sure we all wish we could do things different in hindsight. B 4 Real

Pro ball players should stop tweeting because they can't  spell S*iht right  90% of the time. Its also showing kids it's ok to write/type like an ignorant  "gangsta". Seriously I feel stupid and cringe when I read  a pro player's tweet that is quoted. Come on fellas at least TRY to  speak and write properly. You guys went to college for goodness sake.
