Kaman: 'Heard from the inside' full season on

Chris Kaman, who has never been short on vocalizing his thoughts or feelings, tweeted this week:

Here's the unbelievable part: He didn't delete it, didn't claim he was hacked and didn't backtrack off it claiming some crazy story about his assistant doing it on accident.

However, Kaman's tweet just says "might have a full season" which isn't anything all that earth-shattering. Ken Berger of CBSSports.com had a column up with a lot more than just "heard from the inside" on it. Berger reports:

Following a series of small compromises by both sides, it was the owners' turn to move the needle in a significant way. And they did: According to a person briefed on the negotiations, the league put forth a new number on the split of revenues, or basketball-related income, on Thursday, a step that could help propel the talks forward even as the start of training camps were set to be delayed and preseason games canceled -- with such gloomy but fully expected and insignificant announcements expected Friday.

"It's moving," said another person with knowledge of the talks. "Not as fast as some people would want, but it's moving."

According to one of the people familiar with the bargaining, here is some of what transpired Thursday: After signaling last week that the players' offer to move lower than the 54.3 percent share of BRI was a starting point that could lead to a deal on economics, league negotiators came back with their own number. Unsurprisingly, the number was lower than what the players had last proposed, though multiple people involved in the talks refused to specify by how much.

But here's the takeaway: There's reason to hope. It might be a dark day with the NBA cancelling 43 preseason games and postponing training camps. But that was an inevitability because of the calendar. There's still more than a month until the season kicks off Nov. 1 and if a deal can be haggled out somewhere in the next three weeks, the season absolutely could start on time or darn close to it.

There's a little movement too. Which gives at least a little optimism. "Heard from the inside" isn't exactly as fun as "Looking like a season. How u." but it's something and at this point, I'll take what I can get.

Haha, love the 50-60 games is a Kaman season joke.  Man I hope the NBA comes back on time. I know I am one of the few but I love the NBA.

i think he plays less than that, maybe no one is inviting him to play internationally that is why he is hoping that there will be a season. I thought Kaman played for Germany, he should at least try to fly out there and say he wants to play in one of their pro leagues if there is one.

Of course, given his track record, Kaman thinks a full season is 50-60 games or so.
