Wade says the Heat lost because of hatred

I really wish Dwyane Wade would give this stuff a rest. Because for the thousanth time, he played the "Everybody hates the Heat!" card. Wade said the team "played off hatred" and he even took it so far this time that he blamed The Finals loss to the Mavericks on it.

Via the AP:

In an interview with Mike Krzyzewski on the Duke coach's show on SiriusXM Radio, Wade says "we wanted to win to spite people" last season, the first where he had LeBron James and Chris Bosh as teammates.

Wade continued, "I believe that's the reason we didn't win a championship."

Krzyzewski replied by saying, "That's why I love this guy."

OK, so far the reasons we've got from Wade why they didn't win was because of chemistry, because people hated them and because the media focused too much on them, because they just need a little more time together. So far not on Wade's list of reasons: Because the Mavericks were just better than them.

I don't think Dwyane Wade is an excuse-maker. He doesn't strike me as the kind of guy that's going to look for any and every reason why his team failed other than just looking in the mirror. But the whole organization needs to get over this stuff. They're trying to use it as motivation, I get that. But geez man, lay off it for a little while. Say boring stuff like "We just needed to execute better" and leave it at that.

Because really, all this does is make people dislike the Heat more. Nobody feels sorry for them when they brought it all upon themselves. They knew what was coming the second LeBron said those famous seven words. They knew what was coming when they had their dance party before the season started.

Win for whatever reason you want. To spite people, for yourself, for your family -- whatever. But just win. That's how you shut people up.

Wade says the Heat lost because of hatred

Hey FinFab

Hey Grifter...

That is the definition of an excuse. "we didn't play our best because...." is an excuse.  If he were talking about this by saying "The Mavs just beat us, they were the better team" that would be a non excuse. Are you understanding? does that compute? Or do you have an "excuse" for it?

Did I say that he wasn't making an excuse?  No, I didn't.  I never came close to mentioning that.  Read again, slowly if you have to.
The writer of this article is spinnin words to make a better story.  The excuse wasn't because "people hate us, that's why we lost"  nope, it's more like "we weren't playing for the right reasons, we were playing for something as trivial as to spite our detractors instead of playing to win for us"

Is that understanding enough for ya?  Does that compute?  Or do you need to take "comprehension" classes?

Wade says the Heat lost because of hatred

Royce, if you really want Wade to be quiet, stop quoting him! Wade will continue to say what he wants. There is a factor that most people do not get about the Heat. They (the players and the franchise) are making money hand over fist. The three amigos are drawing down more endorsement money between them than any 15 on any other team. Why? Because they are controversial. They are great players but how did that work for KG all those years in Minnesota? LeBron and Chris learned from KG and did not stay where they could not win. That was a contractual rights granted by the NBA and the NBPA in the last CBA.

Nobody wants to defend these guys except for Miami fans. They don't care. While most players are not drawing a nickel in income because of the lockout these players are drawing millions. That is also why they want the union to stay strong and refuse to go below 53%. The little guy (Mario?) is the one hurt. Wade speaks and the media echoes and they both benefit from the controversy. Keep it up Royce. You are helping LeBron and Wade and Chris every time to you write about them.

Wade says the Heat lost because of hatred

It's too bad I actually liked the Heat before LeBronze. I liked them because I liked D Wade. I've hated LeBronze forever because I like Kobe, but I used to like D Wade and the Heat as his team. Ever since The Decision, I've hated all of it. Good move to give the money from that to charity, but they made several bad moves after that that left the one good move they made hidden for the most part. I think it was telling when we cheered for a German over 3 Americans, and an individual over a group of players or a "team".

Wade says the Heat lost because of hatred

What a stupid ass article!

He didnt say they lost because people hated the Heat.
He said they lost because they played to spite the haters, basically saying their heads were in the wrong place.

Royce Young is nothing more than a geek that sits behind his keyboard trashing others that can do what he never could dream of.
Without a doubt, the Miami Heat had the more talented team last year in the finals but that does not mean the had the best team.
Wades has always backed up his game with with the way he plays. Stop trashing on the man he isnt the one that broke the hearts of other sports fans with no life.

Wade says the Heat lost because of hatred

I like the last line of this article that refers to winning.  "That's how you shut people up."  Someone forgot to tell that to Dwade.  The best advise he could heed is to just shut up LOSER!

Wade says the Heat lost because of hatred

I would love to know why Queen James thinks they lost.  Probably Pat Riley is an idiot. Or D Wade and bosh conspired to keep the ball away from me.  Or Spolestra is a joke.  But never would it be because I can't hit a clutch shot in the 4th.

Wade says the Heat lost because of hatred

Just another reason why I don't care about the NBA strike.  The less I have to deal with THE HEAT....the better.  Can't we just have the whole season be the playoffs and leave it at that?   Now if you will excuse me...I need to go read more about football.

What a p***y. Really, hatred cost you a title ? Just another reason to hate the Heat, the NBA, and most pro athletes.

Wade says the Heat lost because of hatred

Wade’s the reason they lost the championship, because he wasn’t the leader he’s supposed to be in the closing moments. AKA missing crucial free throws, turning the ball over in the backcourt at the end of games, and faking a hip injury.

Now he wants to blame fans as the reason they lost? Look in the mirror, diva. Better yet, look at that 7 foot German that punked your ass.
