Cousins: Don't listen to everything you hear

The Kings put out a statement on behalf of coach Paul Westphal that said DeMarcus Cousins demanded a trade and was suspended for Sunday's game against the Hornets. Reportedly, Cousins was heard shouting at Westphal after Friday's game, "Trade me!" in the hallway.

Cousins agent refuted that the Kings' release and said his client has not demanded a trade. And Cousins did the same Sunday night on Twitter.

Obviously something is going on. Cousins may not want you to believe what the Kings say or reporters report, but it's hard not to assume there's some serious fire with this smoke. There's too much of a history with Cousins to give himt the benefit of the doubt here.

Cousins: Don't listen to everything you hear

I think the coach, Paul Westphal, did the right thing in telling Cousins not to come to the game.  Cousins needed a time out, and maybe he will need a couple more.  Missing a team victory should remind him that it is not a game about him, but a team game.   Some players just need to mature.

Cousins: Don't listen to everything you hear

This kid didn't just become a problem yesterday. It dates back to early teen years. Hell the Kings even hired the one high school coach who had a handle on him and he still acts a damn fool. Good as a player as he is his other problems will make him average all around. He would never play for the Lakers, Celtics or a classy team because he is a bomb waiting to go off. Mark it down now he will ion time do something so out of control that its gong to land him in prison. Just watch.

Bad comparison. Only reason Iverson was unable to get a job on an NBA team was because he had DEMANDED to start, and wouldn't come to the conclusion he wasn't 25 years old anymore. He had a great career, like 15 seasons. The 5th best PPG Avg. of all time, and 2nd best playoff scoring avg. of all time behind only behind number 23, Michael Jordan.

Cousins will have no problem finding teams to employ him. At least until he hit's 30's. Look at Randolph, Stephen Jackson, Delonte West... none have the upside of Cousins and still continue to find work in the NBA, despite there off court problems. Long as you have the talent, you will get a job. He's just young, maybe a bit immature, all thing's that can change over time.

Cousins was, is, and always will be a headcase.  But professional sporting leagues are widely known to overlook them if there is talent involved.  Who knew?

cousins a head case. Westphal has lost the page with this team. Both need to go. Tyreke and jimmer and thornton should be scoring more.....but for sure Cousins needs to go.

Cousins is clearly a head case..........and frankly I WOULD trade him.....if anyone will take him. The Kings probably do need a new coach. Westphal seems clueless with this group. The truth is they made weird personel moves.........but it can be fixed...."if" you had a team who wanted to be fixed. Guys like Tyreke and Jimmer and Thornton......deserve an offense that gives them a chance.  But cousins is loon.

WHAT ?!?!?!?!? You have got to be kidding me.....He needs to learn that there is more to being a team player than screaming like a 10 year rec. player. Learn to play like an all-star then you can be an all-star. Getting paid all that $ and all you can do is "Trade Me" Give me an F'N break.

Paul Westphal is not the problem or the Kings but the problem is that prime donne DeMarcus Cousins. There is no doubt that there is problems between Cousins & the Kings organization & that this won't be settled until both are divorced from each other. Cousins has been a problem since he has been in the NBA for the Kings. Cousins is a very talented player & I'm sure someone will try to trade for him but there is a buyer beware on him for sure.
