Plantar fasciitis for Dwyane Wade?

Right now, Dwyane Wade's injury is nothing. It's just a sore foot and the Heat are winning just fine without him. LeBron James is playing terrific, Chris Bosh is filling the gaps and the role players are doing their jobs.

But Wade has now missed three games and is questionable for the Heat's Tuesday game against the Warriors. His injury is clearly lingering a bit and Monday after Miami's practice, Wade mentioned a potentially ugly injury situation. Via the Sun Sentinel:
“I don’t know, man, it’s just hurting. It could be three different things. (Plantar fasciitis is) one of them. The bruise is one of ‘em. Maybe it’s a combination. I just know that it’s in the area of the plantar fascia and I know it’s bruised as well. Whatever it is, it’s just taking its course, taking its time to get healthy.”
Any time a player says "it's just hurting," that's not good. Playing in pain isn't something you want to do. Every player has to do it at different times but a healthy Wade is the kind of player Miami wants to win with.

Plantar fasciitis though is the type of nagging injury that can affect an entire season. It's a foot condition that includes constant pain with pressure. It's the type of injury you get from spending too much time hammering on your feet. And the way you rehab it is simply to rest. For a while. Don't rest it long enough and you'll wind right back up where you were.

Without Wade, the Heat have gone 3-0, but obviously that's not a sustainable success model. They need Dwyane Wade. Not necessarily right now, but definitely come May. Right now he's trying to heal and the hope is it's just a bruise. Otherwise, Wade could have a painful season ahead.

Plantar fasciitis for Dwyane Wade?

Wade is a vital cog of the Heat and their playoff hopes. I don't understand how, in this day and age, how you have a player not knowing exactly what injury he has. There's MRI's, X-rays and other means to diagnose the injury. That's the first step in rehabilitating it. What are the trainers and team doctor saying? I know Dwyane Wade is tough, but let's be clear about the extent of the injury.

Kobe Bryant is playing with a torn wrist ligament on his shooting arm and is playing fine. I know that Wade will play no matter what come playoff time and help get Lebron James his first NBA Championship, but he's got to be healthy to do it. I want to see Wade play. He's a superstar and, eventually, the team will suffer without him. Plus.

Plantar fasciitis for Dwyane Wade?

Being a Chargers fan and watching Antonio Gates suffer through plantar fasciitis the past year or two, I know how serious an injury it is. It was very obviously Gates lost the ability to make quick cuts, and I think he lost a bit of speed too. If Wade has plantar fasciitis and he decides to play through it, people better be ready to watch a much slower Wade play.

Plantar fasciitis for Dwyane Wade?

Wrong. Having worked in the physical department for a year and a half I can tell you that you can cure plantar fasciitis. You there are various exercises that need to been done but the main one is using a golf ball to step on as you roll it back and forth underneath your foot. Is it painful? Well the answer is very.

Now as far as sports goes I don't think the heat will need him the next game considering it's the warriors. They should let him rest a bit longer. I'm sure with bosh, james, and even cole shining the way he has been we'll be good to go against the warriors.

Plantar fasciitis for Dwyane Wade?

Damn, not the Antonio Gates injury! Gates basically sat out a whole season with that. Damn shame Dwyane.

Well I'm anxious to see if Miller has finally healed from those injuries. Maybe wade being out of the lineup will push Spoelstra to give Miller extensive minutes tomorrow. Rumor has it he wants to come back tomorrow, but coach wants to take it as slow as possible.

Plantar fasciitis for Dwyane Wade?

People already showing their ignorance, and I cant say I blame them, SO MANY fans dont understand Plantar Fasciatas. You really need to understand the injury to understand how serious it is.

Think of Plantar Fasciatas as a bruise, a really really bad bruise.

Its an injury that results from pounding around on your feet. Whats the big issue? THERE IS NO CURE. You CANNOT get surgeory to fix that injury, it doesnt exist. The only cure is waiting, and lots of waiting. Whats worse? If you dont wait long enough and test it, you make it worst and have to start the waiting process all over again.

So basically, You gotta be extra cautious, no matter how good it feels.  You cant just "play through the pain"; else it will NEVER go away, and just get worse.

----------------

I hate the heat with a passion, but lets hope Wade doesnt have that injury. Its just a horrible misfortune and obnoxious injury.

Which is it? Nothing or ugly injury situation?

Man up Wade! Take a shot and play. Resting wont cure it, only surgery. Play now or see you next year. I vote for next year.
