She is about to get half.

The Los Angeles Times reports that Los Angeles Lakers All-Star guard Kobe Bryant will likely be on the hook for $75 million or more in a divorce settlement with his wife, Vanessa, because he did not have a prenuptial agreement. The couple announced that they were filing for divorce in December.
The apparent lack of a prenuptial agreement -- coupled with 10 years of marriage -- will likely significantly increase the size of Vanessa Bryant's divorce settlement with Kobe Bryant, legal experts said.

Some estimates put Kobe Bryant's net worth at $150 million. Legal experts said Vanessa Bryant will probably receive at least $75 million in addition to ongoing spousal and child support.

The fact the marriage lasted 10 years gives Vanessa Bryant several advantages under California divorce law. After passing the 10-year mark, attorney Dmitry Gorin said, a marriage is defined as a lengthy one, which means the spouse is allowed to maintain her standard of living after the split.
The couple has two daughters, ages 8 and 5.

In a prepared statement issued to the media in December, a representative of the Bryant said: "The Bryants have resolved all issues incident to their divorce privately with the assistance of counsel and a Judgment dissolving their marital status will be entered in 2012."

According to Basketball-Reference.com, Bryant has earned more than $196 million in salary during his NBA career. Bryant is on the books for $25 million for the 2011-2012 season, tops in the NBA according to Forbes.com, and has an additional $57 million owed to him in 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 combined. SI.com reports that Bryant makes at least $10 million per year in off-court endorsements.

Report: Kobe Bryant to pay $75 million in divorce

Ha ha. She didn't marry Kobe for the money? Are you kidding me? Of course she did. You mean to tell me that if Kobe Bryant was some worker on a dock or in a factory making 35K/year, that she would have married him? Whatever. She's a whore. Taking a $4 million diamond as "penance" for Kobe banging some white girl in a hotel tells me she has a price. And that by definition is a whore.

Report: Kobe Bryant to pay $75 million in divorce

This is one of those cases where I think the ex-wife actually deserves to get a large settlement. To her credit, she stuck by Kobe through a lot of messes. I'm not sure what ultimately ended it this time (I don't pay attention to celeb gossip) but I think she's shown she didn't marry Kobe just to get a piece of the pie.

I still think the legal system could revisit this whole 50/50 thing, but it is what it is. I also think that Kobe should pay child support, but there's no way he should have to pay spousal support. The idea that she wouldn't be able to sustain herself and her family with 75 million or more is laughable. In reality there's no reason that he should have to pay child support, but on principle I think that's the right thing to do. But no way he should have to pay spousal support, that's just ridiculous, regardless or how many times he cheated on her. Perhaps I should find myself a sugar momma......

Just sayin. I am a better man than Kobe, but my wife could have used a couple Mil. Good thing some women have integrity, kinda like Penn State used to have.
