Update 12:19 p.m.: Ken Berger reports via the Knicks Carmelo Anthony is in the starting lineup vs. the Magic today.

As reported earlier in our Monday Tipoff Buzz, Carmelo Anthony may or may not play Monday vs. the Magic. Melo told the New York Daily News he will try to play. Turns out he gets paid to do so.
"It's sore, but if I can go, I will go,'' he said Sunday, between rounds of treatment that included jogging in the pool. "It's time to get going right now.''
via NY Knicks’ Carmelo Anthony will likely try to play Martin Luther King Jr. Day game Monday against Magic   - NY Daily News.

So, to recap. Carmelo Anthony will try to play in a relatively unimportant regular season game in which he is paid to play, but may not due to an ankle injury. If he is out, the Knicks wll in all probability lose, as he is very good at basketball and without him the Knicks are not very good.

This concludes your Carmelo Anthony day-to-day injury update.

I am guessing sportsline pays Matt Moore to report on sports... right? As a reader, I am left with the impression he would

rather be doing something else. Opinion pieces maybe?
