For almost 24 hours after Blake Griffin detonated a dunk over him, Kendrick Perkins trended worldwide on Twitter. Griffin's dunk changed Perkins' reputation from the tough guy in the paint to the guy that got posterized.

No bother to him though, he says. Via Yahoo! Sports:
"If I was in the same position, in the same rotation, I’m going to jump again and again and again,” Perkins told Yahoo! Sports. “I don’t care. A lot of people are afraid of humiliation or don’t know how to handle embarrassment or would even get embarrassed. I don’t care.

“I’m the same Perk you’re going to see. I’m still going to sign autographs the same way. I ain’t going to change. The people that move out the way and stuff are the people who have insecurity problems.

“That’s my job. How will my teammates look at me if next time I just back out the way and just let him dunk when I’m supposed to be defensive-minded, a shot-blocker? That would be a coward move on me. He’d just have to dunk on me again.”

One thing that did bother Perk though? LeBron James' reaction to Griffin's dunk. Specifically, his excited tweet about it that said, "Dunk of the Year! @blakegriffin just dunked on Kendrick Perkins so hard!!! Wow! I guess I’m No. 2 now. Move over #6.” LeBron of course talking about his dunk over John Lucas III.

Said Perkins:
"You don’t see Kobe [Bryant] tweeting,” Perkins said. “You don’t see Michael Jordan tweeting. If you’re an elite player, plays like that don’t excite you. At the end of the day, the guys who are playing for the right reasons who are trying to win championships are not worrying about one play.

“They also are not tweeting about themselves talking about going down to No. 2. I just feel [James] is always looking for attention and he wants the world to like him.”

One thing to note: I think the reason you don't see Kobe or Michael Jordan tweeting is because they aren't on Twitter. Just a theory.

But Perk's sour grapes here about LeBron seems a bit petty to me. A lot of players tweeted about Griffin's dunk, including Chris Paul, Magic Johnson and Kevin Love. I do see Perk's point though in that the way LeBron's tweet was worded makes it seem like LeBron is a tad vain.

The Heat play the Thunder March 25. That game was already must-watch, but it's got another storyline with it now. I think LeBron might try to Mosgov and Lucas Perkins all that the same time.

Kobe does not tweet because he is to busy cheating on his wife and raping women. Accept the fact Lebron is not MJ and or kobe but more like shaq.

Perkins slams LeBron about his tweet on Griffin

The message in what Perkins is saying is that LeChoke is always looking for attention.  There he is on Twitter and guys like Kobe and Michael would never be worried about that.  They were too busy focusing on winning championships.  James is a goof and still a child.  He is pompous and arrogant and yet still wants the world to love him.  Kendrick was spot on in what he said.  So what he got dunked on, its just one play.  No one is talking about who would you rather have, James or Perkins.  The issue is James and his childish Twitter bantering and lack of focus on getting the Miami Heat to a championship.

Perkins slams LeBron about his tweet on Griffin

Lebron can dunk on a guy a foot shorter than him.  Perkins makes his team better and shows up in the 4th.  I'll take Perkins, even if he gets dunked on.  Next time Griffin comes to the hole on Perk, I have a feeling he won't leave with the same result....
NBA Championship Rings: Perkins 1, LeBron 0. Nuff Said....

you would take perkins over lebron.....ur stupid......u say he has 1 ring lebron has 0......jordan farmar has rings too.....being a role player on a championship team is a dime a dozen there are many, being the best player on a contender is rare.....i hate lebron but ur an idiot......when i saw the tweet right away i knew perkins would be mad.......lebron coulda put what a dunk by blake but putting dunk on perkins was a little much

Lebron is nothing but an attention grabbing little bitch. That's what you get when you don't have the right upbringing, no college education and millions thrown out to you before you're eighteeen. Wow LeBron, get yourself a new trailer to go along with that hummer because you need it to carry your Big Ass Head!!

Perkins slams LeBron about his tweet on Griffin

I don't think that you understand that Perkins is giving Lebron sage advice.  Lebron is getting bad advice as proven by "the decision."  He went from one of the most liked players to one of the most hated players in a matter of a half hour.  He tried to embrace the role as hated but does not like it.  Now he boast about someone elses dunk and throws himself in as number one.  He does not get it.  He is arrogant and people do not like it.  Perkins is just saying, look at the professionals around you, ie. Kobe and act like that.

Lebron just doesn't get it.  He praises Blake's dunk but then pulls himself into the conversation by saying he is number two now and Blake is number one.  He doesn't understand how arrogant he is and Perkin's is trying to help him out by telling him the truth.  Lebron is the guy that when Crawford slamed it on him as a high schooler he confescated the tape.  Lebron cares too much about dunks if he doesn't want people to see a high schooler dunking on him.  It happens to everyone like Perkins said.  Lebron has too many people around him that do not tell him the truth.  His image is suffering for it.  Going public with his refusal to apologize is one more nail in his public coffin.  Just don't apologize and don't keep digging by saying why.

A reminder... Dunk competition victories - Nate Robinson: 3; Michael Jordan: 2; Dominique Wilkins: 2; Jason Richardson: 2; Kobe Bryant: 1; Vince Carter: 1; Dwight Howard: 1; Gerald Green: 1; Brent Barry: 1; Blake Griffin: 1; LEBRON JAMES: ZERO. Wow, guess you're a little further down than #2.
