If you compare the difference between the Tiger we saw play at The Masters and the Tiger your seeing play at the Open, theres a huge difference. At the Masters Tiger was driving horrible now his Driving is amazing. Hes hitting most fairways this week and getting his putting on track. Soon enough you'll be seeing Tiger fist pumps alot more. His number one rank is almost gone because of his absence from golf. I'm going to say that Tiger will get top 5 if not win the PGA championship next month. He was favourited for this week but for the PGA Championship he'll win.

Tiger back to the old Tiger soon

Iwant to say  ... dream on. In the end, whatever the sport, the game is a played on the field, in the rink, in the ring, on the court, on the course. Between the lines, one way or the other. So i'll just say, I don't think so. But Tiger Woods staged a pretty good comeback at the Masters this year. The old Tiger would have blowns the doors off on his second nine at Augusta. Not this Tiger. Remember this: For athletes, time and gravity are what death and taxes are for the rest of us mortals.

Avocado: I agree, TW is irrelevant at THIS POINT.  He may become relevant again next year, but IMO will never be dominant again.  No one except Ben Hogan has EVER been dominant after age 36, and Tiger turns 36 in December.

if you are going to post information, be quite sure you are correct. tiger woods left college after 2 years. he did not graduate from stanford. maybe he is not as smart as his game shows.

Tiger back to the old Tiger soon

Avocado, this thread was started LAST YEAR after the 2010 US Open...obviously completely out-of-date and irrelevant at this point.

Tiger back to the old Tiger soon

HAHA!   Awesome!  Way to dig up a month old post and prove this fool wrong.  Top 5?  Tiger could barely break 80.

Great comment. Tiger over hits the ball, always trying to crush it and ends up playing in the rough. If he puts the driver away and uses his fairway woods he is so much more accurate. He can use his irons from the fairway and shoot for the flags, you can't do that from playing in the rough. The best golf he ever played was years back when he won the British Open and he never took his driver out of the bag. He was very accurate and won easily. Until he stops trying to crush the ball off the tee, he will not win. He's a Stanford gradute and I'm surprised he can't figure that out, and if it's his refusal to do that, then he must accept the fact he will not win. Give up the distance for accuracy Tiger.Frown You're smarter than your game shows.

When you say Tiger will be back to the old Tiger soon...I assume that you really mean he will be screwing every whore in sight!

Of course in the end...he will really just be screwing himself.

Tiger isn't the same...will never be the same...and he will never be so much as a pimple on Jack Nicklaus' arse!

Tiger isn't the story anymore...and I've get a website for you:

If he converts to perfection, a purity and consistancy of tempo, balance and grip pressure; I know and can guarantee he will will 14 more majors by the
time he is 50.   Great skill is made greater by artistry and humility and that should be Tiger's goal.     ???? just saw this comment, don't let the eds catch you with thoose drugs your on budy. They will lock you up and throw away the key. dream on santa!
