Tiger back to the old Tiger soon

If you compare the difference between the Tiger we saw play at The Masters and the Tiger your seeing play at the Open, theres a huge difference. At the Masters Tiger was driving horrible now his Driving is amazing. Hes hitting most fairways this week and getting his putting on track. Soon enough you'll be seeing Tiger fist pumps alot more. His number one rank is almost gone because of his absence from golf. I'm going to say that Tiger will get top 5 if not win the PGA championship next month. He was favourited for this week but for the PGA Championship he'll win.

Tiger back to the old Tiger soon

Tiger will never be what he might have been!

He will always carry baggage, and because of this baggage, his golf will never be viewed as it might have been.

Is this because people don't forgive?

I don't think so; but rather I believe it is the result of the long-lasting consequences of sin...I know, that's a dirty word...but not nearly as dirty as what it depicts!

He had a chance to be greater than Jack and, he'll never be in their company.

Sad, isn't it?

Tiger back to the old Tiger soon

Ricsteger: The only "old" Tiger I see is the one now approaching his 35th birthday next month.  In the history of golf, only one golfer has dominated the sport beyond the age of 35...the incomparable Ben Hogan, who won his first major at age 34, and all of his other 8 after turning 36.  Nicklaus himself is a distant 2nd in majors won after turning 36, with 4 wins.  Few others win at all past that age.  And Tiger does not strike me as one to be an "ageless wonder" type of player.  If he doesn't win a couple of majors in 2011, before hitting 36, he will NEVER break Jack's record for major wins.  He'd need 3 more even with 2 wins this season, which frankly, I don't think he can get.  His driving distance advantage is long gone (everyone is long off the tee these days), his putting is only average now, not the surreal radar-like accuracy of 4 or 5 years ago, and his strokes-per-round is mediocre.  That stuff does not improve with age, quite the contrary.  Particularly, the putting gets to be a problem with each passing season, and his long layoff plus his off-the-course distractions have taken a huge toll.  In addtion to all of that, changing his swing (yet again) at age 34 is simply not a good idea.  A season or two to get it going squanders his last, best chance at nailing down any more majors.  If you think he's coming back to the dominant player he was in the mid-2000s, you can absolutely forget it.  That's like expecting him to somehow defy gravity.

Tiger back to the old Tiger soon

You doubters just wait. Tiger Woods is hands down the best golfer in the world, probably of all times. Just give hime some time to find himself a decent coach and lots of practice in the off season and you will all eat your words. He will be back tearing up the course like old times and in a few short years he WILL be and surpass Jacks old record.
