9:02 p.m. - Mistakes continue to plague both teams, but especially the Bearcats.  Muffed punts, bad snaps, and four penalties for each team have prevented Cincinnati from scoring and NC State from running away with this thing early.  Feels like the first game of the season, Cincinnati takes over from their own 6 after an NC State punt, 8:05 remaining in the 2nd quarter.  NC State 14, Cincinnati 0.

8:36 p.m. - Cincinnati dodges a three score defecit by falling on a Jarvis Byrd fumble in the end zone for a touchback.  Collaros finally took to his legs the following drive. Three rushes in a row get the Bearcats their second first down of the game.  A pair of Collaros passes get the Bearcats into Wolfpack territory for the first time all game.  End of the first quarter, Bearcats have 2nd and 6 on the NC State 35 yard line. NC State 14, Cincinnati 0

8:20 p.m. - Russell Wilson just pieced together another 93 yard drive, this time in 2:30.  NC State got some help from a couple of costly Cincinnati penalties, but running back Mustafa Green finished the drive with a 31 yard touchdown run.  Wilson is 8/13 for 132 yards already, we still have just over five minutes left in the first quarter.  NC State 14, Cincinnati 0

8:00 p.m. - NC State responds with a 93 yard drive orchestrated by quarterback Russell Wilson.  Wilson threw to five different wide receivers on the drive for 71 yards in just over three minutes.  Wilson capped it off with a 16 yard fade to wide receiver Jay Smith, who caught his first career touchdown.  NC State 7, Cincinnati 0

7:54 p.m. - Quick three and outs for each team's first possession.  Neither defense looked especially sharp on the pass rush though Callaros did flash some of his ability to fix a broken play with his legs.  Penalty on the Cincinnati punt has NC State backed right up against their own end zone to start second drive of the game.  Cincinnati 0 NC State 0

7:27 p.m. - Greetings from Carter-Finley Stadium in Raleigh, N.C..  We'll be giving updates throughout tonight's primetime matchup between the Cincinnati Bearcats and the North Carolina State Wolfpack.  The teams are on the field warming up and we are less than 20 minutes from kickoff.

MATCHUP TO WATCH: Cincinnati QB Zach Collaros against the NC State defense. - The Wolfpack defense (secondary particularly) was one of the weak points in last season's squad and Collaros is one of the most athletic quarterbacks they will face all year.  Collaros ran the ball 11 times and only had 17 pass attempts in the Bearcats 40-7 slaughtering of Indiana State a week ago.  His five total touchdowns on the season are evenly split between passing (3) and rushing (2).  How NC State's defense contains Collaros will likely determine this game.
