Carl Pelini is sorry too, everybody

Nebraska head coach Bo Pelini has already apologized for the way he acted during Saturday night's loss against Texas A&M, that behavior generally consisting of testing the boundaries of the human ear drum and vocal chords.  Well, Bo wasn't the only member of the Pelini family who acted somewhat regrettably on Saturday night.

Carl Pelini got a bit handsy with a cameraman following the game, and when I say handsy, I mean he went after the cameraman and knocking the camera out of his hands.  If you don't believe me, check out the video here.

Well, much like his brother did on Monday, Carl wanted to let everybody know he's sorry on Tuesday.

“I apologize for the events that occurred after Saturday night’s game at Texas A&M," Carl Pelini said in a statement. "It was a very emotional situation and the mob scene on the field after the game amplified that. Having been involved in a similar situation in 2003 at Missouri, and in witnessing the situation on the field, I made a poor decision in trying to prevent a reporter from recording the scene. I have acknowledged this from the very beginning. Unfortunately, in trying to prevent a scene, I created one. We have been in contact with Brandon Jones and I have apologized to him directly for putting my hands on his camera. I offered to pay for any damages to the camera, but Brandon indicated there were none."

While there may be no physical damage to the camera, there's no word on what kind of emotional distress the camera felt due to the incident.

What a jerk, and a sore loser. It's real easy to do something stupid, and later blame "heat of the moment". So you think the officials jobbed you. Wonderful. Go find a cameraman to take your anger out on. That's real mature.

From what I've read the behaivor of Pelini Clown Troop doesn't reflect the fan base.  Husker fans are classy, educated, and true (not bandwagon).  Best of luck in the Big 10 plus 2.

The Callahan Years are Over Big XII

The Big XII are FORTUNATE OR NOT depends how you look at it  as long as you have this Head Coach they will compete for the Conference Title year in  year out . Heck they had many injurys thru the year  before and the present . This is where our other players need to step up ? I agree with Bo this is a team sport and we need to adjust thru the year . They will be fine , the big Ten should be fun , cant wait . So Cornhuskers go out in style win the next two and play in a BCS game with a victory  " Go Big Red "   Sincerely Jeff in Nebraska

Really well these Punks beat the Cowboys from Oklahoma State Maybe a Rematch in the Big XII TITLE Game thats if they can beat the Sooners ?  Cornhuskers beat the Buffalos as well this friday too . Then another rematch as well can happen too but the Aggies must beat the Longhorns as well ? Basicly 5 schools are alive on the final regular season week , great . Im too a Cornhusker fan and Im proud of our Coaches  especially the Pellini Bros.  Them and there staff / players have brong us back to our winning tradition  As Football fans you just like the players decide an out come of a ballgame not by  other mishapps or calls in general ? This is football a contact sport emotion ,stress and the heat of a ball game gets players , coaches fired up " let em play"  no one wants cheap shots and these flags they were not at all . Just call games with fairness and balance ?  Jeff in Nebraska  wensday

I've been a Nebraska fan my whole life.  I must admit that this is the most embarrassed that I've ever been of the program.  I always considered Nebraska football as well as the fans to have the best sportsmanship of any team.  We'll all have to work doubly hard now to re-establish this respect now.  I only hope that the Pelini's are up to the task and haven't done too much damage to the younger players on the team.

Great to hear. Rings a little bit hollow, though. Both Pelini's are coming off like sore loser punks right now. Surely they'll do much better in their new conference where they won't have to worry about the Texas mafia cheating them out of games. Not to mention having guys actually putting a camera in their face after a loss. Yeah, that kind of stuff won't happen in their new conference.
