Terrelle Pryor could dominate, prefers winning

Terrelle Pryor hasn't made much of a secret of the fact he's felt a bit disrespected this season.  He started the season as a Heisman contender, but quickly fell off the radar thanks to guys like fellow quarterbacks Cam Newton, Andrew Luck and Kellen Moore.  Heck, Pryor wasn't even named to the Big Ten All Conference teams, instead being passed over for guys like Denard Robinson, Scott Tolzien and Dan Persa.  Which was something he's already voiced his displeasure over via Twitter.

It's obvious that this all bothers Pryor, whether he wants to admit it or not, because it seems like every chance he gets to tell somebody that he's better he takes it.  This time Pryor was talking to the Chicago Tribune when the topic of those other quarterbacks came up, and he made sure to point out that if he was in a different type of offense than the one they run at Ohio State, he'd be dominating college football.

"I'll put it like this: You put me in any of their offenses — any of them — and I'd dominate," Pryor said. "I'd dominate the nation. What those guys do, that's what they're supposed to do in their offense.

"They carry the ball 30 times a game. I carry the ball maybe five times. There are times I didn't even run the ball in a game. You put me in any of their offenses, where I can run the ball and have a choice to throw, I would dominate college football."

This is where I point out to Pryor that he could have been in one of those offenses had he chose to.  After all, he was being recruited at Michigan too, but chose Ohio State.  Which Pryor is fully aware of, but at the end of the day he makes sure to point out that while he may not receive all the accolades that the others do, there's only one thing he really cares about.

"People get into the statistical thing, and at the end of the day, what's the statistic that really matters?" Pryor said.

"We could have done better, but I'm 30-4. I want nothing else but to win. If I was having a lot of stats and I was losing, I would really be kind of mad. My competitive nature wants just to win, by any means. By any means, win. That's all I really care about, to tell you the truth, man."

Which is nice to hear, but it's obviously not the whole truth.  I'm sure Pryor cares a lot about winning, but if it's the only thing he cares about, why is he spending so much time complaining about everything else?

This seems like another hack reporter trying to stir the pot.  I think Pryor is right -- if he played in a different system and under a coach who was primarily offensively focused, he'd have better stats.
Frankly, I don't find it surprising that Pryor wasn't picked for any conference awards this year.  Jim Tressel has 7 conference titles in 10 years, including 6 straight, is 9-1 against Michigan and has won a national championship, but has never been the Big Ten's coach of the year.
While it's nice to have players win conference awards, I'd rather have conference titles.  And that is what Pryor is really saying.

I  think he used the same line of reasoning when he scored an 11 on his algebra test last semester.

Pryor is 30-4 because of the GAUNTLET he has to play through every year.
Hahahahahaha SUCKeyes keep the laughter coming.  It is becoming an every week thing.  Gauntlet and Dominate.   hahahaha what a loser.  From an outside observer I actually think he is a horrible quarterback that has had the pleasure of having a great defense.  He is very unimpressive and many times he throws into coverage.  Last year against Wisky is a perfect example.  He was bailed out by his receivers.  No way does the SUCKeyes beat Wisky 9 out 10 times this year.  Hahahahaha like I said, keep the laughter coming.  Here's to you worst fanbase in America.  Now that Tress is out recruiting, his sights are on over 400 secondary recruiting violations.  Outstanding!

Pryor is a very good quarterback.  He was stuck in a conference that tended to beat itself up.  And there were so many other great qbs that Pryor was not in the limelight like he wanted to be.  But he is very good.

"Not to take anything away from Wisconsin at all - I really don't want it to come off like this - but they weren't better than us. Everybody knows that if we play nine out of 10 times, we'd beat Wisconsin." - Terrelle Pryor.

He's just saying it like he thinks it is.  A fine athlete in 2 sports, but not in the same company by virtue of his record, which is inconsistent, behind a load of talent.  He's improved some, but make no mistake, he's coming back to OSU because he needs the work, plain and simple.  Protected by that big offensive line, next year will be big for him.

I dont like Pryor as a person because of his eye-black that he used in the Navy game last year spelling "Mika Vick" meaning Micheal Vick, the vicious DOG KILLER, but I do agree with him here. If he was'nt tied down at Ohio State under conservative Jim Tressel, and he was let loose in Northwesterns, or Auburns, or Floridas or Michigans offense then he would dominate. Still though I'll just remember his defense of Micheal Vick to the media when they asked him about his eye-black and he replied "Not everybody is the perfect person in the world. Everyone does -- kills people, murders people, steals from you, steals from me. I just feel that people need to give him a chance."
Yeah, give a scumbag dog killer who should be in chains right now a second chance, and oh, nice quote by the way, you asshole Terrelle Pryor.
By the way I love how the heisman is going to go to a cheater (Cam Newton) and that the runner up is going to be a scumbag (LaMicheal James) who beats up his girlfriend.
But I understand. Where would Auburn be without Cam Newton? Oregon without LaMicheal James? Or worse, Ohio State without Terrelle Pryor? Nowhere. So go ahead praise them and defend them all you want. I'm just sick of hearing it.
