Very good news about Eric LeGrand

In October, Rutgers defensive tackle Eric LeGrand was covering a kickoff against Army when he took a hit.  A hit that left him paralyzed and doctors suspected would keep him from ever walking again.  Since then, however, LeGrand has been making progress in his recovery.  Doctors have changed the diagnosis of his paralysis to incomplete, and he's been able to breathe on his own without a ventilator since late November.

Which is great news, but the news seems to keep getting better for LeGrand.  According to the Newark Star-Ledger, LeGrand now has movement in his shoulders and "full sensation" throughout his body.  He previously only had feeling in his hands.

All of which is fantastic news for LeGrand, his family, Rutgers and college football fans in general.

LeGrand recently gave his first interview since being paralyzed, and it will be aired on ESPN on Friday morning.  In the interview LeGrand said that when he was carted off the field during that October game, he wanted to give the crowd a thumbs up, but felt like "1,000 pounds was on his thumb."

Very good news about Eric LeGrand

When I attended PSU our DB Adam Telafari was paralyzed during an Ohio St game and has since made a recovery and an asset to society.  He never played football again but he became an attorney.  I belive in miracles and I believe in Eric LeGrand.  Team colors dont matter when tragedies like this happen.  My thoughts are with Rutgers.

Very good news about Eric LeGrand

Anyone else out there think  needs to buy himself a happy meal?  Or maybe a dictionary.  How dare people find inspiration in the idea that this kid keeps fighting and his condition keeps improving!  Human Race = ego maniacs?  hafdolla23 = idiot.

Very good news about Eric LeGrand

This is great news for Eric, his family and friends.

But to all of you gloggers and posers...I mean posters who are seeing this as an angle to post idiotic, preachy comments about how this draws all fans together of all different colors in the CFB world....or this brings life into perspective.  Who's life?  Your life?  Your friends life...my life?  Give me a break.  You want to say thats great news fine but to then turn it into some irrational train of thought on how you can tie it to your own life or how it makes you feel better is really immature.  All your thinking about is yourself and not Eric.  This is a game, a sport.  Tradgedies like this will happen and it happened to Eric.  He has all the support he needs from his family and loved ones without preachy bloggers posing as people who care only to make their petty lives better.

Human race=egomaniacs.

YOU NEED TO GET A LIFE! THIS IS A VERY MOVING STORY AND WE SHOULD ALL BE PRAYING FOR THIS YOUNG MAN. ITS PEOPLE LIKE YOU THAT NEED TO BE PARALIZED LIKE HIM SO YOU CAN GAIN SOME PERSPECTIVE ON THE WORLD. PRETTY SAD THAT YOURE SO BITTER AND MISGUIDED.
