Mark Ingram and Marcell Dareus going pro

If this whole football career thing doesn't work out for Barry Sanders Jr, maybe he can give being a college football reporter a try.  Yesterday the high school running back and son of Barry Sanders broke the news that Alabama running back Mark Ingram was going to enter the NFL draft.  Sanders said he was told this by Nick Saban on a recent recruiting visit.

Now, not even 24 hours later, the news has broken that Ingram is in fact going to leave Alabama, and he won't be alone when he does so.  He'll be joined by defensive end Marcell Dareus.

Now Alabama fans must sit around and wait for Julio Jones to make his decision.  Most people seem to think Jones will follow his teammates to the NFL, but if Andrew Luck is willing to go back to school, I'm not taking anything for granted.

Since the national poll era Alabama is tied with Notre dame at 8 national champonships.  If you are going to talk about who has HISTORICALLY the most successful/best programs they have to be held in the same regard.

It's not really amazing how great the SEC and Bama are, after all, they've been dominating since the 20s. I mean, no, and I MEAN NO ONE, has the tradition of Bama or the league. It';s just jealousy.

Don't fret! We understand that most of the country is jealous of the way the SEC is better at taking advantage of the ambiguities within college football recruiting. Take a Xanax and watch the State of Alabama win consecutive NC's and the SEC win it's 5th straight. By the way, I expect the SEC will play for its 6th consecutive NC next year. With another top 5 recruiting class, even w/o INgram, Dareus, and likely Jones, losing only 8 seniors, Alabama will be in the NC Picture for several years to come. Just sit back and enjoy the ride.

We in the SEC really don't care whether you respect us or not, because we can just beat you into submission anyway.

Go SEC!

RTR!
OH YEAH!!!!!!!

not too worried.  losing Ingram only makes way for Trent and Eddi.  losing Dareus makes way for Billingsly, Sentimore, Square, Moore, (all of which are proven DTs and DEs) and one of either of the big time DE we have our eyes on now.

if we lose Julio, we have plenty of gamers in Maze, Hanks, Gibson, Bell, and Norwood.  if we lose Barron (some rumors about leaving), who cares.  look back at the Mich St game.  who needs him????

Bama will be primed for yet another NC.

much more than i can say for AU

There is no respect for this cheater team or their fans. These fans are Going to college and can't possibly be stupid enough to believe that imposing penalties Next year is the proper way to discipline a team. I hope they all go pro, every last one of them.. They have all been getting paid anyway, why not make it official. As for the students who pull for this team, you deserve nothing but a horrible team maybe that way you will find some humility instead of the sticking your heads in the sand. Go spend your trust fund, punks.
