Wazzu corner arrested for laptop theft

I suppose college football players have received some mixed messages about stealing laptops over the last couple of years. In one case you had Jeremiah Masoli, who was then kicked out of Oregon and missed out on a national title shot while toiling at Ole Miss last season. Then there was Cam Newton, who had to leave Florida, but wound up winning a title at Auburn.

So I can see why there would be some confusion. Still, at the end of the day, stealing is wrong and the only thing we know for sure about pilfering somebody else's laptop is that it's going to get you booted from your team. The latest to possibly suffer such a fate is Washington State cornerback Tracy Clark.
A freshman Washington State University football player has been arrested and suspended from the Cougar football team for allegedly stealing a laptop on campus.
19-year-old Tracy Clark, originally of Pittsburg, California was arrested by WSU police this week. Officers say Clark stole an $1,100 laptop from an open dorm room in Streit Hall on January 29.
They were able to identify Clark as the suspect by tracking his internet use on the computer.
Clark redshirted in 2010, and depending on how this legal matter goes, he may not play a down of football for Washington State in 2011 either.

How about you get your facts straight... He in fact did get charged with stealing the computer from a kids dorm room and threw it out the window when the police got there.
"University of Florida police arrested sophomore quarterback Cameron Newton on Friday afternoon for felony charges of buglary, larceny and obstruction of justice, according to Alachua County jail records... Newton allegedly stole a Dell laptop from a UF student’s dorm room and then threw it out of the window when University Police Department officers visited Newton’s dorm today, according to the UPD arrest report... The officers stepped away from Newton’s room to call and ask the student if the serial numbers matched, but the computer was gone when they returned to Newton’s room, according to the report.  The computer was later found by a garbage dumpster outside of the Springs Complex, where Newton lived on the third floor, according to the report."
Don't you look stupid?...
He is a cheater and it's plain to see! He will be a mediocre QB in the NFL at best.
How about you grow up "okdaddy"

Newton, now the star quarterback at second-ranked Auburn University, was arrested in November 2008 and charged with grand theft, burglary, and obstructing justice in connection with the boosting of Paul Loschak’s Dell laptop.

He was arrested.. he's a crook

Another poor excuse for news or information.  Cam did not steal a computer.  He was not even charged with doing so.  He bought a c omputer for $1000 that was stolen.  Despite how incorrectly the media and fans of his defeated  opponents wrongly malign him, he displayed great character and is proving to be a fine person and a great athlete.  Grow up and get over it! When you write about something, tell us something newsworthy... not rehashed insinuations, false accusations, innuendos, and really old stories.  BUT, if you do persist in doing so, at least get your facts straight for a change.

I admit I went straight for the east Houston Nutt/Masoli joke, but let us all focus on where these kids are when they are committing their crimes - other conferences.  It is the Big-10 that leads in major infractiosn after all, and USC that had their title stripped.  Yes, Auburn should, and eventually it will happen, but to act like only the SEC has issues is really a testament to everybody going after #1, because the obvious evidence shows it happens even more elsewhere.

I suppose the Sec is the dumping grounds for malcontents, thieves, cheaters and has the highest pay roll of any college football conference in the good ole U.S of A and those that find themselves ineligible to play football at their current schools are more than welcome to begin their career in one of the fine institutions of the sec.

I sort of wonder where Jeremiah Masoli is at this time, I am sure that since the football season has come to an end that he has found out that the Park and Recreation program no longer interest him and since he has one degree he need not have another.

Cam will be getting an increase in pay in the NFL as his minor league contract of about $180,000 or so has expired at Auburn. He is working out in San Diego some place with Warren Moon.

Of course the NCAA indicated they still have an investigation going on about the Cam Newton situation. If there was an investigation going on would you not normally suspend the person under investigation. Oh, silly me I forgot he played in the sec and they are immune to punishment from the NCAA or at least Auburn is.

Now this guy Tracy at Washington has stolen a lap top. What is so intriguing about a lab top that most football players would want to steal one. If they wait a few more years they would be able to purchase an entire store of lab tops.

Well Nutt at Ole Miss is always on the prowl for those players that would turn themselves around and see the light. Not much trouble you can get into in Mississippi. Of course the Jackson area is pretty lively.

Welcome to sec country and Mississippi or Auburn in Alabama the next state over.

Did anyone make the "has he transfered to Auburn yet?" joke?

No.  But I made the "I thought Cam Declared for the draft.  Why would he transfer to WAZZU?" Joke.  Does that count?Laughing

Stole a laptop?  I think Houston Nutt is probably giving this kid a call right now.  There is always more room at Ole Miss for laptop thieves.  And as they don't yet have computers at Ole Miss, and there being no pressure to win, it is the perfect place to um, rehab, such behaviors.
